Lagi ka ba bagsak sa versant exam? Hindi lahat ng call center may versant exam. Ok, for those people who doesn't know what versant exam is.. Versant Exam is a standard test for listening and speaking skills. Usually avaya phone ang gamit dito...

may mga set of recorded questions dito na dapat mo sagutin with limited time..

marami bumabagsak sa versant exam pero ngayon isshare ko sa inyo ang SECRET on how to pass versant exam!

First, make sure that your voice is clear. Not too LOUD and not too SOFT.

Kapag nasa question and answer portion na *** wag nyo masyado seryosohin! Paglaruan nyo lang...

VERSANT: "What is your greatest achievement?"
SAMPLE ANSWER: "My greatest achievement is when I was able to graduate from my five year course because studying for five years is tough... That is my greatest achievement.. 10..9..8...7..6..5..4..3..

Ganun lang.. nagtataka kayo kung bakit ganyan sagot ko...

Here's a fact... sa versant exam there's no right and wrong answers. WHY? Hindi naman yan ineevaluate ng recruitment or ng hr... hindi nila yan pinapakinggan.. machine ang nageevaluate dyan.. pero bakit marami ang bumabagsak???

1. Hindi clear ang boses nila.. either mahina ang boses nila or umuubo ubo habang nagsasalita.. markdown sa machine yan.. ang tip ko dito before kayo mag take ng versant exam or before kayo magsalita umubo muna kayo.. parang bumebwelo lang kayo bago kayo magsalita..

2. Hindi umaabot sa time ang sagot nila... ang rule dito when your hear the beep sound..magsalita ka na.. and you MUST end your answer AFTER the beep. Ang ginagawa ng marami sa atin hindi na nagsasalita hanggat hindi nila naririnig ang beep sound.. YOU MUST PROLONG YOUR ANSWER.. balikan nyo *** answer ko before yung may 10..9..8..7..6..5..4..etc.. yan ang purpose ko to prolong my answer... pwede yan.. promise.. either you can count 1-10 or 10-1
kahit 1 to 100 pa.. ang importante dito may matinong first sentence ka.. kapag hindi mo na alam ang isasagot mo dun ka na magbilang...
kung ayaw mo magbilang.. tumula ka.. kahit anong tula... like jack and jill.. wag ka lang kumanta.. pwede pala.. *** kanta gawin mong tula.. or mag-dasal ka.. haily mary.. etc..

3. Sa versant exam may part dyan na uulitin mo yung sinasabi ng recorded voice.. ang technique dyan maging monotonous ang boses nyo.. parang bagong gising lang.. pero make sure clear ang voice nyo.. wag nyo artehan! kahit walang accent ok lang..

yung sa grammar nyo wag nyo masyado problemahin yan sa versant exam.. pero sa interview... problemahin nyo na yan!! hehehehe..

wahahaha I dunno kung totoo pero yung ibang mga naunang nakapagtake at nakapasa ng VET sa wave namin dati sa ePLDT tumula daw ng wala ng maisagot...oh well hindi ko alam kung totoo...pero in my case twice ako nag take ng test...bagsak ako ng first try kasi 65 lang score ko, 68 yung target eh...nung 2nd take na, remarkable yung last part (extemporaneous speaking part) ang tanong eh if you will be given the choice to represent your country in a global conference, which issue would you raise? Wahaha I answered world peace...explain explain ng konti ayun pasado, I got 72 nung 2nd try wahahahaha. Haist.

Buti sa Berlitz one take lang niyahahaha.

-I hate versant exams pag low batt ka. Nako. Wag ka aasang papasa ka dito. Marami-rami na rin callcenters na may versant exams. (yung mga sikat actually).

i agree, yung ibang kilala ko they recited mary had a little lamb. basta clear ang boses mo papasa ka.

i was told pag boses beki at babae na matining ang boses mo, you are bound to fail, kasi yung mga best agents daw, na hindi pumasa medyo lyric soprano ang mga boses.

based sa mga naririnig ko, mukhang marami nga bumabagsak sa versant exam. i have no idea why bumagsak sila, siguro kasi napaka swerte ko sa versant exam. i already experienced versant exam twice, nung nag apply ako sa teletech 2 years ago and last month lang sa teleperformance, pareho ko napasa kahit wala ako naisagot sa 2 or 3 items sa last part. paano kaya ako nakapasa dun, siguro naririnig sa recording yung pag hinga ko kaya counted as may sagot. lol

i really hate the last parts of this exam. nakokornihan kasi ako sa pag record ng extemporaneous speech, tsaka dun sa pag continue ng kwento. mas gusto ko pa ang personal interview kesa magrecord ng 2 minutes long na speech

Compared to Berlitz, Versant is easy (to the hundredth level). Just speak up and clearly; you're done.

Passed Versant Exam with a perfect score (wink). Teletech calls it BeVocals. If you are about to take this exam - better read through some threads related to this topic. There are times that you will be given a scratch paper to write down some stuff (to help you of course) but I suggest not to use it. It will just divert your focus from intense listening to listening plus writing (which is not a good combination when you are up to an exam with a time limit). Even if you write it, you won't be able to write everything so you will just end up with chopped sentences/phrases.
Number 1 rule - listen. LISTEN. LISTEN.

You can never go wrong when you LISTEN very well.
I think it's part D or E when you have to re-tell a story - make sure you use your 30 seconds and don't leave time for dead air.

I passed Berlitz too which I personally think is a lot easier.

i took and passed the versant exam from teletech last year. there was one part na wala akong maisagot, binasa ko na lang yung nakapost sa recruitment station, kabado pa ako kase baka nga joke lang yung kwento tungkol sa hindi pakikinig ng recruiter sa nirerecord mo. totoo pala, kase pumasa ako kahit ang layo sa tanong yung sinagot ko.

Na experience ko to sa Teletech, TP & West? I'm not sure, basta ang technique ko 1 to 2 not too long/short sentences lang. Natatawa ako kasi question was "What is you're favorite food and how will you relate it to your life? Tapos after 5 secs sasagot ka na. Naloka ako ng bonggang bongga, ang sinagot ko "My favorite food is pasta, it's easy to prepare and the result is satisfying." tapos sabay banat ng "And just like pasta.. (1 to 2 secs wala ako maisip talaga) my life is complicated and has a lot of obstacles to overcome." Natawa na lang talaga ako after nung item na yun pero I was surprised nakapasa ang lola mo

^ ahahah! so kahit pala hindi sensible masyado yung sentence as long as you speak continously pwede na?

natawa ako dun sa mag count ng 1-10 pero effective pala ang ganyan... haha

1st time i took it puro "i dont know, next question please" sagot ko. sabi kasi ng examiner, yun daw ang sabihin kesa magkaroon ng dead air

Teletech called it beVocals during my time - 2006. I think dun sa question and answer and re-telling of story - dapat wala talaga dead air.

Yun sa akin nga I had to laugh kasi natawa din ako sa ginawa ko.
So I was retelling a story, eh tapos na, tapos hindi pa nag bibeep. So what I did, ulit ulit ulit like this:

"So, that was the end of the story. (Wala pa ding beep). Remember that I told you the girl was glad because someone picked her up, yesh, she was really glad, extremely glad. (Wala pa ding beep).
So, since someone picked her up, she was very glad and happy that she did not need to walk in a cold weather. Like, she was really glad."

Beep. Funny, redundant and over senseless.lol.

aww Versant. *memories* bumagsak ako dito nung unang take ko, pero nung pangalawa na, milagro nakapasa. alam ko Stream at TP ang meron nito eh. haha
