Is there a way to avoid Customs Tax?

I'm running an online shop and I'm getting my goods (Korean Accessories) from China via EMS. Nanghihinayang lang kasi ako sa binabayad ko (1.2k+ depende sa package) para "mailabas" lang package ko sa Customs since na-experience ko na magbayad lang ng P35 for my very 1st package. Pagkatapos kasi nun puro may tax na. :(

I've tried DPEX before. My first experience was smooth. 3-4 days natanggap ko na *** package ko without any extra fee plus door to door pa. Pero nung 2nd time, I was charge 3k+ for my package that's worth 5k. Nalugi pako sa binayad kong tax that time :mecry:

buy stuff locally, that way there's no use for one to pay for customs taxes, that's what customs taxes are for, to discourage the sourcing of wares outside and to encourage doing business with local sources...

There are two tried and tested ways to avoid Customs Tax:

    1. Bribing Customs employees
    2. Smuggling

very little is manufactured here now, because of power and labor costs; anything sourced locally would probably have come from China anyway.

its an open secret in avoiding custom tax

    BRIBING of course

    namely @supernan and @Papichulo168

ganyan talaga ang purpose ng customs, kaya if you really want to continue with your online store do bulk orders at huwag tingi-tingi.

Hi, I hope someone replies; I think I'm just reviving an old thread but here's to hoping that someone who knows can answer my question.. What is the maximum amount in US$ (for item cost+shipping) that you can have sent here to the Philippines without it having to be charged with customs fees?

many of my relatives do import stuff, which are not available locally, and more often than not they would end up paying customs tax/duty in an amount almost equal to the actual value of the thing, hence almost doubling the cost. in whatever mathematical equation they used to arrive at imposing such an amount and the hassle of getting it out of Customs , i believe it is bordering absurdity already. i do hope for some changes in the system someday for the sake of fairness and practicality.

HELLO! I claimed my Amazon.co.uk order kanina sa QC post office.

Our order is worth 62.61 pounds or roughly around 4300 pesos.

customs tax - reason why sobrang mahal ng imported goods dito sa pinas compared to other countries..

I'm willing to pay all importation fees as long as consistent at tama ang sinisingil. By the price of the purchase ba? Ilan % ba ang tama?

I've been purchasing some stuff online several times na, and so far sinisingil lang sakin ng BOC ng Post Office sa Las Pinas is PhP 40.00(yes, forty pesos). Most of those purchases are only worth mga PhP 2k-4k packaged inside boxes not more than 2ft x 3ft x 2ft.

Hassle nga lang kasi I paid for the packaging and shipping, ang agreement dun is that door to door yun at dadalhin sa house or office ko. Unfortunately, yung notice lang dumadating sa bahay at kelangan ko pa pumunta sa PO ng Las Pinas na napaka-traffic (I'm from Muntinlupa), tapos open lang sila during office hours ng weekdays. Kelangan ko pa tuloy mag-off sa work.
