Dimethyl Sulfoxide

Hi Doc Ira,

What do you think of Dimethyl Sulfoxide (DMSO).... I stumbled upon this when I went to a Vet Supply Shop. I was looking for elbow pads for my dog who has a hygroma and the owner recomended this Gel. Thanks.

    I don't know anything about veterinary medicine, KingTriton. Sorry. Maybe someone in PEx is a veterinarian and can answer this question. Alternatively, you can post in the pet threads in the Hobbies forum. Maybe someone's used this.

    Hi Doc Ira,

    Dimethyl Sulfoxide is not really for Dogs :*) , it is used on Humans to cure a number of problems like elbow swelling, arthritis, cancer even parkinsons disease plus a lot of other problems... :cool: I wanted to know if you are familiar with Dimethyl Sulfoxide but I guess you are not yet familiar with this. :)

    Yes, I know what DMSO is, actually. It's still an experimental drug, and it's still not FDA approved. But as I've said, I'm not a veterinarian.
