    yep..timing na timing ..
  • Time to leave my marks on the road! :)
  • Twice nako nakadaan dito. SB and NB. 5 minutes lang from the end of the old SLEX hanggang entry ng STAR.

Ingat lang mga pre kase mapapatingin talaga kayo sa scenery. Nasa paanan ng bundok eh ang sarap tumingin. Haha!

Is there a long straightway where we can blast our cars?
  • ^Hhhmm..wala masyado..hindi siya sobra straight..but I remember hitting 140 driving my Innova for whatever that's worth! Haha..I can imagine you're looking to hit more than that..
  • Lets see about that too, it all depends also on the road condition. Believe me or not, fastest I can do at star tollway is 130kph all because of the road condition. Going 200kph+ on that road will quickly wear out your tires and even damage your suspensions.

    step22 just curious
maganda ang scenery feeling ko nga nasa abroad ako nung dumaan dito bigla lang naputol imagination ko kasi may umovertake sa aking jeep na ang pagka sama tapos ang itim pa ng usok... haist

That's surprising. I imagined you'd be doing a lot faster than 130 sa star kahit paminsan minsan lang with that evo.

Nope I will not risk it. The road surface is not good. If it was something like NLEX, SCTEx, or SLEX, then I would have done it.
  • Yeah the surface ain't great pero it's not that bad. I've gone 160kph on it with my CRV. I like the skyway. It's wide and nobody uses it. Makes me wish I had a faster car or a 1 liter bike when I'm on it.

  • sarap ng libre. :)
  • Finally, a 200kph run on ACTEx was set!
  • I am not sure but according to my friends with really powerful cars, none of them has yet gunned down the new Calamba-Sto Tomas Link at the ACTEx. Unless someone has already done it, I guess the speed record on that new road was set at 200kph by me.

Monday, I wanted to try the new road. Weather was great, and I was up at 4:30am. Then before I can proceed, I filled up with Petron Blaze 100 Octane. During our last dyno tuning session with the said fuel, my car was able to make 390whp or about 470 engine horsepower after turning the boost to 27PSI.

Petron Southwoods to Calamba was an easy drive, cruising at 100kph keeping things easy, then yes, the newly opened section of the ACTEx came up.

The first section before the tollgate in the middle of the newly opened Calamba-Sto Tomas Link was another easy drive, but I brought the car up to 130kph.

Then right after the tollgate, I noticed a straight uphill section and there were no cars. Rolling start at 50kph, then right when the road is clear, 390 horses were unleashed on the new pavement of the road!

The car reached 200kph right before the curving section nearing Star Tollway, and it was time to slow down.

Going back, I did not want to try out any more record breaking runs as I noticed lots of trucks already. But what caught my eye going back down from Sto-Tomas to Calamba on the new road was the breath taking view, especially you see the reflection of the lake from afar. *okay*

Was excited when i first drove on the new SLEX extension en route to Batangas yesterday but was sooo frightened on the way back on the same stretch upon seeing a big dog running across the highway and was run by a van on the fast lane. Really felt sorry for the poor dog.=(
    :eek::eek:

The contractor should ensure that all perimeter walls/fences are completed to prevent more accidents.

Salamat naman. Nakakainis na ang sobrang traffic sa may Carmelray.
