Jay-R is the youngest of five siblings. Due to financial problems Jay-R was forced to work in order to help his family. He used to live in Manila with his uncle and got to learn the ins and outs of being in a band. Unfortunately he had to return to Cebu since he was too young to pursue a music career. Earlier this year, he became the vocalist of Scrambled Eggs, a band that was formed ten years ago. Jay-R has big dreams for himself and with his voice - which has a wide range, he can surely go places. His only setback is his distinct Visayan accent. Will he be able to overcome this in order to make it big in the Academy
