After C-Section: Getting the same body again

Hi mga mommies! I spoke to one of my Psychologist friends and I was advised that since I've had C-section in giving birth, hindi na raw babalik ulit yung body ko sa original kong size. Back then, I was 34-27-36.. Ngayon, eto na 36-32-41. And hips are really large na. I wonder if this is true.. na hindi na ulit posibleng bumalik ang body ko sa dati nitong size? If there's still a way, ano ang magagandang ways para maibalik ko yung dati kong body.

I already have a daughter turning two this November.

Any advices will really help.

    Unless you have money to get the fat sucked out, Regular Exercise is the only way to get yourself back into shape.
  • hi, I think depende din sa genes natin e, like me I gave birth last July 3 thru C-Section pero di naman lumaki ang hips ko ng sobra. Lahat ng jeans and blouses ko nung dalaga pa ko nasusuot ko pa pero syempre medyo lumaki ang puson ng konti.......... right now I'm doing 6"oclock diet hope it will work..............Goodluck sa atin!!!

    first of all, it's pregnancy that changes your proportions... not a C-section... so you can get back to your same weight but your proportions may never be the same (when I went back to 120 lbs after giving birth via CS, I still wouldn't have fit in my wedding gown kasi I was wider na despite the same weight)

    and then a lot will depend on your genes (some kahit hindi nanganak, mapuson), habits, diet and age (the older you are, the harder it is to go back)... and just how much your body changed/how much weight you gained
  • It is definitely pregnancy, not the C-section. I never had a C-section but never got a flat belly again after my 2nd baby. Maybe someday I will start dieting and exercising, but it's not a priority right now :D

    Sorry ha, but what expertise naman does your psychologist-friend have to offer re: c-sections or giving birth or physical fitness? Unless s/he tells you that it's all in your head?

    Anyway, good old diet and exercise is the solution. We might have to work harder than before because like what delisyus mentioned, we're older na. And as far as the hips go, our hips expand during pregnancy not during a c-section.

    Your abs, on the other hand may have been affected by the c-section because a c-sect cuts through the muscle. So again, you just have to work extra hard to get the tone back.

    hay naku, madali lang yang problema mo, if you are really serious to get your pre pregnancy body figure, if you can afford,hire a personal trainer, you can get it in no time, look at Heidi Klum, after 4 kids, super-model pa rin ang body in every sense of the word.

    You friend is psychologist, she or he is not even a OB Gyne or fitness guru, paano nya alam yun?:confused:
  • I gave birth July 19, 2010 via emergency CS. Mas payat ako after giving birth. although me konting tiyan pa din pero halos puro bata kasi ang laman ng tiyan ko noon kesa sa fats. Pagkalabas ko ng hospital nagagamit ko na ulit *** mga skinny jeans ko. Plus nakatulong na nagbebreastfeed ako.

    Di pa daw puwede mag-gym for at least a year kasi operada na ako, it takes time para mag-heal completely *** tahi kahit pa sabihing tuyo na siya.
  • Di naman! I gave birth January 2009, around 18 months bumalik na yung figure ko. I was 100 lbs before I got pregnant, ngayon balik na ulit ako sa (105 lbs na ako), and yung mga jeans ko kasyang kasya na ulit.

    Depende siguro yon, pag mag breastfeed ka mas lalong bibilis yung weight loss mo.

    Well, siguro ang masasabi ko lang hindi na maibalik yung cup size ko dati. Which is sad. Medyo nag sag na yung boobs ko ngayon and I'm one cup bigger. :( Nag breastfeed kasi ako until last month.

    Another thing...stretch marks!!!! Arggh. Pero other than that so far balik ako sa dati. Kaso buntis nanaman ako ngayon hehehe.
