  • ^ Hi FHER!

Right now he's working at Safeway and Tim Hortons.

I might go there on April or May 2011 after ng exam ko sa US. Bisitahin ko si Kuya and family nya.

Hope to see you there. Nakakamiss ang The Forks. :D

Not true yung info ng seminars. My friend's wife landed in Vancouver first. Sumunod na lang husband niya after a few months kasi may obligations pa siya dito sa Manila na kelangan tapusin.

Bago umalis yung husband, doon pa lang niya ti-nransfer by T/T lahat ng NATIRANG pera nila into his wife's newly opened Canadian bank account.

Think of it, kung may 5 million pesos ka = CAD 116,279.00 more or less, kampante ka bang dalhin ito ng CASH? And siyempre, pag land mo ng Canada, dala dala mo yang perang yan for a few days hangga't di ka nakakapagopen ng bank account doon.

Not practical and not safe, really. May mga pickpocket and holdaper din naman sa Canada, no. :naughty: So don't believe everything they tell you in the seminar.

    HTH.
  • sa mga taga peg, magkita kita tayo jan next month
sa amber trail ako titira.... di ko alam kung saan yon pero magkita kita tayo...

I think USD10k is more than enough for one person to migrate. You have a valid reason not to bring the whole amount of money since the family would is left in Pnas. The immigration officers in the port of entry are reasonable. I don't think it would be an issue.

It's not practical to hand carried a big cash to Canada. Other options would be a bank draft or manager's cheque. The downside though for non-cash is the clearing time. Normally, it takes a number of weeks to clear it in a Canadian bank.
