Need advise:US Tourist Visa question

Sa mga veteranong bayani natin sa US. Mabuhay kayo!...

3. Gano po katagal normally from the application all the way to the interview/visa granting or denying?

4. How much po ang tipical na gatusin sa processing?

5. Im working in Malaysia, pero dont really have that much money, will this cause a denial?

I primarily want to visist my sister in Texas, living there for 10 years. At the same time I plan to apply for a job, look for a company who is willing to sponsor me to change from Tourist Visa to H1visa. I have no problem kung kelanga kong bumalik sa Pinas for processing.

Is this a good plan ?

I have 5 years experience in IT and im confident to qualify for IT position in US when I get there, I also have brother in laws who may help me find a job.

Please share your ideas, lalo na sa mga may karanasan abou this. Malaking tulong po ito sa akin....

maraming samalat po in advance....

hi edsharp. for me eto ang thoughts ko about your questions:

    1. yes
    2. mas mainam kung sa malaysia. visit US embassy kuala lumpur for the steps http://malaysia.usembassy.gov/
    * ako I work in tokyo and I got my visa in tokyo
    3. it depends, as long as magather mo na yung mga documents na kailangan at maschedule mo na interview mo, yun na yun. ang visa granting/denying e on the spot mo ng malalaman sa culmination ng interview.
    4. visa fee is $140 now i think + money spent for documentation
    5. that one I don't know. case to case basis

Inde naman sa pagdidiscourage pero I think it is too ambitious na mag-aaply ka ng visitors visa then when you go there you're gonna apply for a job. I think mas maganda na mamasyal ka muna, have a clean record, go back to Malaysia, if your work contract expires then it's your choice what to do, most likely multiple entry visa naman ibibigay sa yo e so makakabalik ka. idea lang naman pero nasa yo pa rin syempre what you think is best. goodluck!
  • Maraming salamat storbo1229.... really appreciate your time to provide a helpful inputs.....

Sa iba pang may maidadag dag, you are most welcome....:)
  • Sana meron pang ibang magbigay ng kanilang ideas.....
  • Medyo mahirap maghanap ng sponsor ngayon pero you can still find some IT recruiter that will sponsor you. But it might be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Medyo mataas ang unemployment ngayon sa US kaya syempre mas madaling kumuha ang mga consulting company ng local unless very specialize at in-demand ang skills mo.

Saan ka ba sa IT field? You should start looking at online job sites. May nakita ako minsan na nag-sponsor sila ng mga IT prof. but i cant remember kung anong site.

If you are "marketable", you dont need to be physically in the US to get a sponsor.. you can apply online and employer will email or call you if they are interested..

Nanganak po ako last may 2010. Eh 1. Unemployed ako.Nag resigned po ako sa work ko a month before our wedding. 2. 3.

    Sana may sumagot,

Please anyone, give me some infos on what are my chances of getting tourist visa. THanks

You need to have your husband petition you sa ayaw nya at gusto. It will only take maybe less than a year to process and it should be right now as in NOW.

yeap but walang problema yan. Meron solution dyan. The important thing is the family can go and visit whatever this husband is doing.

Are you aware that The number of H-1B work visas issued by the U.S. has a limit of 65,000 per year?

So there is a lottery involved in selecting visa applications because hundreds of thousands of applicants around the world (majority from China and India) file for this type of visa.

    Good luck!
