Can't workout due to my skin problem

Guys, my mom doesn't want me to go to gym, even to exercise because of my skin problem. I have so many pimples all around my body (excluding my face and lower part of my body, thank God,). I was advised by my dermatologist to avoid sweating. So is there any advice from you pexers, i really want to have a nice body.
Salamat sa mga magrereply :)

  • Ask your doc if you can take accutane.
  • thanks brianpex for the reply. I think, accutane is a treatment for acne. Sabi kc ni doc, it's just purely pimples.:)
  • I don't get why you can't go to the gym. Is your skin condition (whatever it is) more important than your overall health and fitness?

Methinks someone has their priorities all mixed up...
  • hm, I've been experiencing this problem for four years na kc, and mom spent thousands of pesos for my medication. Nanghihinayang lang kc ako sa pera. Once na mapawisan kc ako, may lalabas na agad na pimple. But at the same time kc, gusto ko rin na gumanda katawan ko. Hirap!! pero thanks dude. :)

^ Perhaps you also need to eat less oily foods?? How old are you to begin with??
  • hm, I'm 18. Doctor said walang bawal na pagkain. Tinanong ko tlaga yun sa doctor. Pero I'm still avoiding oily foods especially peanuts. And the bad thing is hindi pa rin siya nawawala, pimples continue to appear :(
  • I think proper hygiene.. maligo lang ng maligo.. tingin ko yang pimples mo kasi due to hormonal imbalances, tingin ko nga mas ok pa kung may exercise ka for overall health improvement.
  • How long have you been going to the same doctor?
  • ^true, my pimples cleared up when I started exercising and lost weight :)

maybe you're in the point in life wherein lumalabas talaga pimples mo. When I was in high school, puro pimples ako. from 1st year to 4th year ako nun. big pimples, sa chin, sa nose, sa forehead. sa college, mas less, pero lagi meron one big major lagi sa nose (they call me rudolph the red nose reindeer). I also went to the skin doctor, sabi niya I have skin problem, hindi pwede mainitan talaga.

But I don't care, kasi I live in Manila. Impossible hindi mainitan. I started doing yoga, eat healthier food, vitamins, mas naging controlado yun pimples and allergies ko. Syempre, kapag summer, wala ako magagawa kasi super init, lalo na this summer. So I just use Fissan powder and have an allergy lotion nearby

Weird advice from your dermatologist, if she's sure it's just pimples. Now, I sweat A LOT when I exercise, and I exercise regularly without having problems with acne, even when I had been an acne-prone teen. I think, as long as you observe proper hygiene, you shouldn't have a problem–always change out of your workout clothes and bathe when you're done with exercise.

As others have suggested, though, your pimples may be caused by other factors, like hormones or stress.
  • 2 months pa lang ako sa doctor, and andaming pinapahid sa katawan, parang walang effect. College ako ngayon so i think it's due to stress. minsan kasi, hindi ako natutulog pag may exams. And yeah, inaalagaan ko naman sarili ko physically. Twice ako'ng maligo, considering na iba ang pinapahid na skin sa umaga at gabi. And based from your advices, sana hnd dumami lalo yung pimples ko when i start working out :) salamat sa mga sumagot
  • *iba ang pinapahid sa skin (sorry mali :))
  • maybe you should consider a second opinion.
ganun kc ako when it comes to doctor.
if hindi ako satisfy sa resulta. mag papacheck up ako sa ibang doc.
wala **** mwawala sabi mo gumagastos ka din ****.

oo nga. naman :) Pero subok na kc **, haha. And he said that if I'll go to the other doctors, he's 100% sure daw na most of them will prescribe the same medication as he's. Pero I'll try pa rin. salamat:)
