question #1: ano po ba ang mga posibleng trabaho na nag-aabang sa isang bs tourism grad?(besides being a flight stewardess)

question #3: ang AIT po ba ay hiwalay na organization or part talaga ng up pero iba lang ang name?

thanks po sa mga isasagot niyo..:)

  • question 3 lang masasagot ko.

    by the way, thanks po..:)

    nasa UP-AIT ka po *****?
  • May I ask why this is relevant to the thread?

I am already a graduate and I was not a Tourism student. I don't know why you are asking if I am in AIT.

Other than the hotel or airline industry, may iba pa bang work for tourism graduates?

If I am not mistaken, Tourism has a lot of electives so you can practically minor in other areas (you can take extra units in accountancy, economics, etc.). And IMO its not really what course you finish, but how you apply the skills you learned.

But if all else fails, you can always fall back sa academe. The hospitality services are pretty in now so a lot of schools are offering it and looking for instructors.
  • question #1: ano po ba ang mga posibleng trabaho na nag-aabang sa isang bs tourism grad?(besides being a flight stewardess)

sobrang daming options when it comes to jobs after graduating from AIT. sa batch namin, some are working as FAs/airline representative, merong sa events, sales & marketing, meron din sa banks, hotels, travel agencies and embassies. merong profs na ngayon sa ibang university. meron ding nagtuturo sa UP mismo. meron ding nasa show business haha

di naman lahat ng subjects may field trip. usually pag first year, jan medyo madami. di naman required sumama although for most subjects (in my experience ha), exempted sa finals kapag sumama ka

nung undergrad ako, etong subjects na to may fieldtrips (pero depende pa rin sa prof) T110, T113, T114, T117, T120, T122, T175, T181 (Hotel Immersion)

question #3: ang AIT po ba ay hiwalay na organization or part talaga ng up pero iba lang ang name?

"no other college comes close" literal sa literal. pero may footbridge naman from gym to AIT

    goodluck! :)

BS Tourism is actually not limited to working in the travel or hospitality sector (travel agencies, transportation, hotel, resto, tour guide). I am a tourism graduate and I focused on research, strategic planning and development. most of the electives I took are in that area.. There are also electives on business management and entrepreneurship but of course, focused are tourism-related establishments. I have several friends who is taking Law as well.. Tourism is a multi-industry sector. Different schools have different focus in terms of preparing their students. Some are really focused on training them for the hospitality sector. In UP, you have the advantage to choose any field of tourism. The best people to teach Planning and R&D (if you're into that stuff like me) are in UP.
