Yeah. Brain Train talaga is the best. I reviewed there last year.Super cool and fun ang BT. Ang dami kong natutunan talaga. Super informative ang review materials. They helped me out a lot not just passing the UPCAT,ACET,DLSUCET and PMAEE but also by becoming the topnotcher of NCAE in our school(I got 99% sa over-all GSA ko roon and 99+ sa ibang category). Kaya sabi nga ng Brain Train, DON'T TAKE CHANCES! (wow, feeling endorser ng Brain Train eh!)

^Thank you for the kind words! :)
    Don't forget the best teachers...haha!

i reviewed in Loyola Student Center and i think it helped me gain confidence in test taking. i don't think its necessary to enroll in a review course to pass UPCAT or ACET if you studied well in HS. the tests coverage are just fair and reasonable (and to some extent, i would say easy); it will definitely not involve college level questions. the advantage of taking a review class though, is in developing your test taking strategies and skills.

I'm very proud to say na nag-review ako the remaining weekends before the UPCAT sa AHEAD LEARNING CENTER (tutorial and review center)....

very thankful ako kasi they help me a lot at kahit matagal ng tapos ang review sessions at UPCAT may communication pa rin ako sa mga naging teachers ko doon... minsan nga nagpapaturo pa ko ng assingments at very easy to approach ang mga tao...

kung meron kang time para umattend sa mga review centers then GO... pero kung feeling mo naman ay kakayanin mo na sa self-study ang UPCAT ay GO lang ng GO... ang mahalaga hindi ka mag-cheat at gamitin ang backdoor to enter UP...

once in a lifetime lang ang CHANCe natin to take UPCAT then why not GRAB the CHANCE na makapagrefresh ng mind....

    BTW... I PASSED! =D

good luck sayo.... focus and target your goal...

    LSC.

Lots of good teachers with great academic backgrounds.

I passed though. Good highschool eh.

well u have to decide, would u prefer wealth or honor?

Instead of choosing a course like European languages, history, anthropology etc in UP, u are better off with courses that are in demand and will provide you a better and satisfying career such as NURSING in other school. *okay*

It would be better to choose wealth over honor. If you want to have a very large salary amounting to around Php 300,000.00 a month and easily work in the USA, Canada or abroad, then choose in demand courses like NURSING, IT (specializing in JAVA, ORACLE, SAP etc) in other schools instead of wasting your time with those non-sense courses in UP and end up with a job you never wanted. :(

However, if u are really an academic type of person who prefer honor over wealth then go get that non-sense course in UP and regret your life studying there cause that course you took will never give you a bright future. :mecry: :depressed:

Is everyone getting my point here?

Just my two cents. Peace to all! ;)

UPCAT I think is more on basics na minsan binabalewala na lang ng student.

Well then, can we now remove the "nerdy" subjects since it doesn't translate to material wealth? We might as well turn UP into a diploma mill.

Saan ka ba mas natututo, self or group study? kasi, kung marunong kang mag-focus sa pagrereview, wag ka na mag-review center. bili ka nalang ng MSA reviewers and do it by yourself. If not, go to a review center. So choose wisely. :)

    Good luck!

Haha. Wala kayong matututunan pag ganyan.

May ginawa rin pala kami dati a week before yung UPCAT namin. Nag-group study kami. :)

i still don't understand the hype regarding review centers. there's a lot of reviewers for sale out there, you don't have to spend thousands of pesos paying someone to teach you things you should have already learned in HS and check your sample exams for you.

i personally think it shows that you are incompetent if you have to rely on those centers to help you pass something as mundane as an entrance exam, no offense. i mean, it's just an exam and a lot of factors affect the outcome. just because you reviewed does not even make you more prepared for it.

i myself was not a stellar student in HS but i was not half bad if i may say so myself. i didn't even think of taking the UPCAT because i was as sure as hell that i wouldn't pass. but i did pass and i was not even delayed when i graduated.

and might i just add that i don't understand what arvin01 is getting at by posting that comment. i mean, damn, that's just sheer stupidity.

Ahead! I took UP, Ateneo, DLSU, and UST entrance exams. I passed all. The review helped me more than my high school did. Mag Ahead ka na! Haha. Nag promote eh. :D

..I passed the upcat and i am about to enter diliman..
..I entered a review center, brain train, but i firmly believe that my high school days helped more than that.

brain train, mahal talaga dun..pero lahat ng nagtuturo dun ay UP grads..kaya sure ka na magagaling sila..nakakatuwa pa nga noon nung sumaling kami sa SLIDE-UP, debate sa UP, sa brain train ginanap tapos ahmmmm wala lang kasi hindi sayang babayaran mo kasi super gagaling nila at ang dami nilang techniques para hindi ka magtagal sa exam..lalo na mga tips before at sa actual exam.. sayang pera mo kung kaya mo naman..tingin ko kaya mo na sa sarili yun if you are doing well for the past four years...kung halos lahat sila UP grads..im sure kaya mo din yun..ako nga second palang ako sa clan namin ahaha..una yung kuya ko..kakapressure kasi nilalait ako ng kuya ko na hindi daw ako papasa kahit sa los banos,,los banos kasi siya..kaya natutuwa ako nakapasok ako sa diliman kahit nung upcat nagcr ako ng pagkatagal sa kaba..at dahil dun mga 15 questions sa math ang hindi ko man lang nabasa..hindi tuloi ako nagkapagasa sa BAA...huhu..meron din kasi ko nun..kaya be sure na well prepared...ka..pagnagkasakit ka sa araw na yun..hindi ka na mabibigyan..kahit next year hindi na pwede sumabay..wag ka din papalate...kasi sayang yung time..tiaka wag ka masyado iinom pag malapit na exam..awwww..naalala ko tuloi haha..

...hmmm.para kay arvin01..para kang yung mga kaklase ko..sabi nila what's the point of entering UP..eh nasa tao naman yan..kilala din naman daw ang UST actually daw kilala sila dahil sa 400 years of existence para daw pag nagabroad..graduating high school students, wag kayong papatinag sa mga ganyan..wala ang 400 years of existence sa 100 years of excellence ng UP..tiaka.oo nasa tao nga pero anu ba naman kung lalaki ng sobra yung edge mo kung sa UP kasama ang honor? pipili ka pa kung wealth or honor kung kaya mo namang both..hindi naman UP ang namimili ng kors mo, ikaw kung ano yung ilagay mo sa form diba..kaya nga dapat summer palang alam mo na kung ano gusto mo..its your fault kapag yung kinuha mo, ipinasa mo, hindi mo pala gusto..tiaka para san pa at may shifting? anyway pag freshman ka, halos lahat naman ng subjects macrecredit...
..strive for the best..do not be contented just because you are losing your hopes..yung mga taong nagpapakonsolasyon na lang, i mean parang paconsuelo dahil hindi niya makuha yung gusto niya sila yung hindi makakaattain ng goal nila..

every hindrance is the very reason why you should go on..at isa pa,,when you are starting to lose hope, or change paths, think again why you wanted to hold on in the first place..
