Mrt - 4

What are your thoughts about the not yet proposed MRT -4?Would this rail transit help us?

http://www.urbanrail.net/as/mani/manila.htm
http://www.lrta.gov.ph/news/news_item_072103_DOTCbaresPlans.htm

The MRT-4 will run from the Old Bilibid in Recto to Quirino Hwy,Novaliches, QC VIA Espana Blvd. and Quezon Avenue. and WITH CONNECTING LINES to LRT -1 (yellow Line) and MRT-3 (blue line).

I just hope that the government (esp. DOTC and DPWH) will push through with this project.

Instead of starting from Recto... nag-start yung MRT-7 sa North EDSA (Trinoma and SM North) going to Bulacan.

  • It will take another 5 years to seal the deal, Contract signing palang yun.

Imagine yung extension ng MRT edsa to monumento took 5 years bago nasimulan ang construction, pahirapan sa contract madaming red tape.

priority nila ngayon yung from Edsa trinoma to San jose delmonte bulacan, ang daming ek ek sa contracts at bid laging back to zero.

since built operate transfer umaasa ang govt, parang pinatutubong pangarap lahat ng proyekto dahil walang budget.

The Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) plans to construct a unified rail system throughout Metro Manila in a bid to ease traffic and decongest its transport network.

its more than 5 years that this has been concieved, im pretty sure this is being planned by the next administration for public bidding, basta projects laging una ang government kickbacks diyan kaya di malabong hindi mangyari magkaroon

another thing... kung may MRT sa Espa?a na dadaan sa Quezon Ave.. it means kailangan tibagin yung Mabuhay (Welcome) Rotonda monument.

actually yung tower na yun parang kadugtong nung Quezon Memorial sa Eliptical road via Quezon Avenue. both towers were erected to commemorate Quezon as Commonwealth's first president. So from aerial view para siyang isang straight line na may circle on both ends tapos may towers.

another disgrace yung LRT-2 extension. Tinakpan yung Bonifacio Monument.

Tapos aangat ulit sa University Station (UP).

Yung sa LRT-2 extension, sana giniba nalang yung mall near Monumento.. kasi to begin with dapat walang commercial establishment na katabi (in theory) ang isang monument.

Though it would be a great help kung itutuloy nila. :)
Maganda pa yung view ng campus from the train. :D

Nung last time na dumaan ako sa Espana, better yung surroundings compared before.

Basta.. even yung LRT-2.. basta ayoko.. unless subway, hehe.

I wish they would create LRT stations reaching The Fort. It's excruciating to travel to the Fort as an employee coming from downtown manila.

Exactly! When I was assigned to do audit doon sa Ford, kainis, ang hirap ng sasakyan. Mga isang oras kami nakahintay ng taxi.

Ok na yung Fort Bus and Citylink... dagdagan nalang yung buses instead maglagay ng rail tracks. :) Or more e-tricycles or e-jeeps. Ang bagay sa Fort Bonifacio is subway... only if magkaroon ng demand for it. Ngayon kasi karamihan ng residents doon have their own cars. ;)
