3 years old : Britney sing Whitney Houston songs in front of the mirror dressed in fancy clothes and with her mother's make-up.
4 years old : Her mother gets her admitted in the choir of the local babtistchurch, where she sings solo in front of a crowd for the first time.
8 years old : Britney attends the entrance examination at the producers behind the TV-show "Mickey Mouse Club". She is however to young and gets rejected, but one of the producers asks her to attend a professional dancing school in New York, far away from her hometown.
9 years old : Britney moves to New York with her mother and sister, where she attends two dancing schools (Professional Performing Arts School and Dance Center, a renowned off-Broadway organisation) the following three summers. At the same time she takes part in several TV-commercials and theatre plays on Off Broadway.
11 years old : Britney attends the entrance examination at "Mickey Mouse Club" again, and becomes a mouseketeer together with 'N Sync's Justin Timberland and J.C. Chasez, with whom she becomes friends.
14 years old : "Mickey Mouse Club" stops and Britney returns to Kentwood, where she attends a private high school.
15 years old : Britney is bored with school and her father realizes that she is serious about her singing and dancing. They establish contact with an attorney in New York (Larry Rudolph), who has successfully worked with Backstreet Boys, 'N Sync and 98°. She receives a demotape from Larry, that she sings over. He is very impressed and calls her a 'Backstreet Girl' and a 'Solo Spice'. The demo tape is forwarded to Jive Records. They are also impresses and invites her to an audition, where she sings Whitney Houston's 'I Have Nothing' in front of 10 representatives from recording companies. She is hired immediately!
16 years old : Britney records the album '...Baby One More Time'. Subsequent she starts a tour to 26 American malls. The single '...Baby One More Time' becomes a giant hit in the radio, and a fan club is started even before she records the music video.
17 years old : The music video is now on MTV, and several modeling bureaus are interested in using Britney in the fashion campaigns. She does one fashion campaign and takes on tour with 'N Sync as their opening artist. The album '...Baby One More Time' arrives in the shops, and several sales records are made. Britney gets both the single and album on the leading U.S. chart (Billboard) as number one simultaneously.

Britney Spears is making the most of her sex symbol status, again. This morning (Sept. 29), the one-time Disney Channel child star whose personal life has at times eclipsed her musical output, premiered 3, a new single about the pleasures of polyamory, on New York radio station Z-100. The song goes to radio everywhere today and is part of Britney Sears The Singles Collection, a hits compilation due Nov. 24 on Jive.
Produced by Swedish hitmaker Max Martin (Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson), 3″ finds Spears singing about the racy subject of a ménage a trios with her signature coy delivery. Three is a charm, two is not the same, Spears coos seductively on the verse. I dont see the harm, so are you game?
Britney Spears The Singles Collection marks 10 years since Spears released her breakthrough debut album, Baby One More Time, which spent 103 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart and has sold 10,554,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Two versions of The Singles Collection will be released: a standard one featuring 17 of Spears biggest hits along with 3, and an ultimate fan box set with all 29 of her singles, a DVD of her music videos, and a booklet featuring classic images.
Spears wrapped the second North American leg of her Circus tour on Sept. 27 in Las Vegas.

Rolling Stone Review: Britney Spears Courts Controversy as Sexy New Single 3 Hits Radio
Britney Spears new single 3″ the sole fresh song off her upcoming best-of compilation The Singles Collection debuted this morning on New York Top 40 station Z100, and yes, the song is about having a threesome. Spears has never been shy about courting controversy, and this song will likely receive plenty of it. 3; is yet another product from of producer Max Martin, the Swedish pop savant who also gave the world Katy Perrys I Kissed a Girl and Spears If U Seek Amy, so a track about ménage à trois would be the feasible next step in his repertoire.
The music itself seems to borrow from the Flo Rida playbook, as 3″ is more of a surefire dance-floor stomper than anything Brit loaded onto Blackout or Circus. Merrier the more, triple fun that way, Spears sings in one of the many, many innuendo-packed lyrics that seem like they were spawned from Princes Dirty Mind-era brain. Theres also Three is a charm, two is not the same. I dont see the harm, so are you game? and If you dont like the company, lets just do it you and me. You and me Or three Or four The song also boasts the strangest Peter, Paul and Mary reference weve ever heard.
As Rolling Stone previously reported, The Singles Collection is due out November 24th, just in time for Black Friday. Singles will be Brits third greatest hits compilation in four years, following 2005s My Prerogative and 2006s B in the Mix: The Remixes.
