Madali or Mahirap is subjective, depende yan sa sipag at intellectual capacity mo. If you come from a decent high school then you'll probably find it not as hard.

Magsisisi? Depende rin yan sa iyo. If you don't like the field (IT) in the 1st place, don't choose that course. Specialty ng DLSU ang mga computer-related course but the business side of these courses are mediocre.
  • I think it's the former ICTM ata. Meron basic IT courses: BASICON and programming, but the core subjects are business-related include accounting (woah!), management and the like. It's really a good field for ones pursuing in the field of IT Management.
  • Not with anything, pero nakaka-disappoint lang na ginawang IS yung ICTM. Akala ko ba may agreement na bawal may kaparehang course with another La Salle school pag pareho ng location/within the vicinity. Information Systems is being offered in CSB. It started way back 2004/05 as Information Management but was changed to IS in 2007.. Anyway, I'm a student from CSB-IS program and I think they need to do a lot in promoting the program--as for sure, CSB-IS will be overshadowed by DLSU's-IS in terms of enrollees.
  • ahhh ok thanks po :) so it means like same lang ang IS at ICTM ng lasalle? pinalitan lang nila to IS?
  • i am ICTM and masasabi ko mahirap..... nakakapagod...eats too much of your time... and the pressure... grabe ang pressure... hindi kita tinatakot.... but it's true...

Wait till you experience being a BS-CS student. You will thank god for ICTM :rotflmao:

ICTM is like a mix of IS and CS with no real identity that's why they finally scrapped it.

Initially it was a stripped down CS-IT since they stopped offering IT to give way to ICTM. Stripped down meaning it doesn't have the "pamatay" CS subjects like C Programming, Computer Organization, Computer Algorithms (3 of them), Assembly Programming, Operating Systems, Thesis, etc.

bulls-eye haha i was about to say the same thing  There's a reason why CS, ComEng and sometimes even ECE people are shifting to ICTM.

I would still recommend you take a CS course though kahit mataas ang pressure. Kulang na kasi ang ICTM/IS sa technical side unlike the previous CS-IT, which is important when you graduate (because you'll most likely be hired as a programmer anyway).

Pag ayaw mo talaga mag CS, kuha ka na lang ng BS-IT sa UST.

correction po. Wala po kaming BASICON.. counterpart namin is INTRICT (Introduction to ICT).

  • thanks a lot to all of you :) big help! :)
hmm. in IS/ICTM, are there fewer girls or almost same number of girls and boys? in the other course in CCS ata, they're mostly composed of boys?

  • ^ok mali pala ako, endangered species pala.. hehehe...
  • Are they still offering CS-IT?
