What a pleasant surprise that HIMYM got nominated for outstanding comedy!

TBH, the past season was pretty great. So it's well deserved! Do you guys think the fact that NPH is hosting may have affected this decision?

I think NPH and How I Met Your Mother got some love because they increased the number of nominees per catagory. Had they stuck with the traditional no. of 5 nominees, I'm afraid HIMYM would've been left out yet again.

I was surprised din kasi nga the past years isa lang ang nanonominate na multicamera sitcom and akala ko they would pick Two and a Half Men again over How I Met Your Mother. I'm glad this year they finally recognized this show.

And sana manalo na si NPH since hindi na naman nominate this year ang three-time winner na si Jeremy Piven na lagi syang tinatalo :glee:

loved that guest appearance of hers on "30 rock"...she played her obsession with jack donaghy to the hilt! :glee:

how 'bout salma hayek? i think she did well, too...same thing with alan alda as the supposed long-lost dad of jack (although baka hindi na pumasok sa cut-off ng emmys 'yun because alda had his guesting during the last 2 or 3 episodes of the season)...

    Alda is nominated

Neil Patrick Harris should win this, now that Jeremy Piven is out of nomiantion
  • After watching the whole first season of United States of Tara, I'm rooting for Toni Collette to win. She's phenomenal in her role. As in. The others wont hold a candle against her multi-faceted (literally) role. *okay*
  • :bounce: :bounce:

    WOOOHOOO! Malapit na sya!!!!
  • "Neil Patrick Harris has his work cut out for him.

Desperate to rescue the Emmy broadcast from last year's near total ratings collapse, the Television Academy approved two major changes. It (and CBS) chose the well-liked and now once again Emmy-nominated star of How I Met Your Mother to host the show, in hopes he'll pull in younger viewers and restore some critical luster after last year's reality quintet debacle.

And they tweaked the voting rules — expanding some categories from the usual five nominees, eliminating judging panels in favor of a straight popular vote — in an attempt to squeeze a few higher-rated shows in to what had become a very niche mix"

hmmm... kaya pala, dumami, tapos popular vote.

    My take:

Comedy: rooting for HIMYM for a change, deserving naman kahit ** lang gumagamit ng laugh track (except Family Guy) tsaka conventional multi-camera.

Lead - Comedy: In fairness na-appreciate ng voters si Jim Parsons kahit na hindi masyadong pang-"masa" ang TBBT. I think na yung episode na ijujudge was his best performance for the season. Pero ok lang kung hindi ngayon, malaki pa naman ang iimprove ni Jim as the series progresses, lalo na ngayong assured sila ng 2 more seasons. :)

Supporting - Comedy: Feeling ko panahon na talaga ni NPH. Pinaka-ok ang portrayal niya as Barney this year, nang makahanap ng katapat ang babaero. Barney is fancy but accesible.

Snubs: papasok sa Comedy ang Chuck diba. ok sana yung supporting dun, si Major Casey.
