Miss Universe 2014 should be held in Manila, Philippines

luibooweeluiboowee PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
The Philippines has hosted the Miss Universe pageant last 1974 and 1994. Isn't it nice to host it again on 2014, exactly 20 years after the last, which was held 20 years after the first? It's just so nice to think that the Philippines would host the pageant every 20 years.

    IMO, huwag na muna.
  • 'wag na rin. beauty contests are a thing of the past... IMO

Di na. Di na uso ang beauty contest. Pababa ng pababa na ang ratings, especially the Ms. Universe last year - the lowest TV views of Ms. Universe in the history....

walang pondo ang government baka magmukha lang variety show o kaya miss fitrum. Although we have the most beautiful beaches pero the thing is walang pondo. baka sa araneta, CCP or PICC nanaman gawin. Mas lalong kakahiya yun dba
  • By that time bago na president natin so malay mo boost sa tourism natin yan. But being Filipino if ever man matuloy yan sa 2014 sa year 2014 lang natin yan paghahandaan kumbaga last minute. Sana magtayo tayo ng indoor venue bigger than araneta.

May possibility na matuloy to! How i wish! Since gumaganda ang ekonomiya natin and last may bagong venue like MOA Arena. 2 consecutive na naka place ang pinas sa TOP 5. Ang daming fantard uli na Pinoy since Venus Raj placed last 2010. :bop:
  • wag na. sayang ang pondo. ibulsa na lang yun ng mga buwaya sa gobyerno. hahaha

Mahal kasi ang placement fee (dont know the right term!) around $20-$30M para mag host ang isang country. Ito ang rason kung bat nag back out ang Panama this year to host Miss U.:bop:

There'd be a lot of critics but personally I wouldn't mind. It'd be like a great coming out party since we're supposed to be doing well (at least in int'l business circuits).

I was watching this 'Top 20 Most Shocking ....' show on Fox, that footage of a group of young gay Pinoy men going wild during the announcement of the last semi-finalist in Ms.U 2010 was included on 'the most shocking' list. Nangimi ako nung napanood ko ulit, it was funny then, but it looks kinda disturbing now, shocking nga ang dating!
