    Soya is healthy, and contains high amounts of protein, potassium, fiber, carbohydrates, zinc, calcium, phytoestrogens, iron and magnesium, and is low in fatty acids and contains no cholesterol. It has vitamin B complex and vitamin D. However, even if it's healthy for adults, this food is far from the ideal sole food for babies. Their needs during growth are different from those of adults. Purely soya-fed babies have higher risks of developing thyroid abnormalities, physical maturation problems, nervous system problems, diabetes, extreme emotional behaviour, asthma, immune system problems, and pituitary insufficiency, which may be caused by high phytoestrogen intake in early life. Breast or formula milk should still be the most important source of nutrition.
