I'm just wondering if how much ba talaga ang starting salary ng RN sa states?? Iba-iba kasi ang sinasabi sakin. I've been told na between $2000-$4000 daw per paycheck. Is this true? I'm gonna graduate na din kasi next year and i'm planning to work in the U.S. asap...hehe...Hope may mag-reply thanks

    saang state ka magtatrabaho?

$2000 bawas mo yung renta, koryente,
    groceries, gas or pamasahe, telepono,
  • Ngek. Abroad kaagad? Aba'y magsilbi muna sa Pilipinas kahit isang taon. :)
  • I plan to work in LA kasi.:) So that's $2000 per paycheck? Ang liit din pala....

Per hour ang bayaran. Kung LA, pag new grad nasa may 30 + per hour. If you want to earn more get another job like a lot of Pinoy RN's do. Hospital RN's usually work 12 hour shifts 3 times a week to be considered full time so you can work a day or two at another facility.
Mababa nga lang cost of living doon.
  • ^ Thanks for the info :)

    Hmmm let's say it's $30/hr, so that's like:

    $30/hr x 36hrs/week (12 hours/day x 3 days)

    = $1080/week

    $1080 x 4 weeks

    = $4320/month

....Nagcompute pa talaga ako haha  So the salary would be around $4320 a month right? How much naman po yung tax deduction?

mga 35% kung single, zero deduction. the higher you earn, the more you'll pay. ingat sa kakakayod kung walang tax deduction (e.g. mortgage payments) dahil may $10K + for uncle sam na kailangan mong bayaran at the end of the year.
  • Wow laki din pala ng bawas....So that means mga $2000+ per month lang pala net pay nun...Thanks for the tip. :)
  • kakilala kong nurse sa new jersey, new hire pa lang: $32 per hour
  • average dito sa cali $60,000 a year.

So depende talaga kung saan state at kung anong hospital :)

^ orange pink, ang baba naman masyado ng rate sa vegas. rate lang yan ng LVN dito sa california ah. you should've demanded more. pero di na rin ako sure ngayon kasi i've heard na pag new grad and walang experience mababa ang starting. saka namimili na din daw ang hospitals. they prefer those with experience. dito sa california yan na yata ang case.
  • if youre really wanna know who pays the highest salry, that would be Saudi Arabia.
Oops, hold on, let me explain.

If youre an American Citiizen with a US RN license, you can work in Saudi under contract, you will b offered at no less than your US based salary, WITHOUT tax deductions, with paid housing and food. Yan ang gimick ng my US licensed nurses if they want to earn quick money, they work there for minimum 6 months contract, pocket your salary in FULL at balik na sa USA. I repeat, you have to be a US Citizen and a US licensed RN to do this.

Depending on which state. Throw in Social Security and 401k as well, then you'll really see the numbers.

^ throw in state income tax ( state dependent), some miscellaneous deductions (stocks, if so).

We'll see how much they are really earning.

At the end of the day, it's how you spend and value your money.

That's true. Pero just to add, kung British, Australian or Canadian Citizen ka din. Then, free return flights after the contract. Plus free accomodation (studio) and sometimes, free food. Then you will get the best available position.;)

Yep. depende sa state, and depende din kung 'specialist' area ka. With that $62/hour, siguro nasa ICU dad mo.
DOnt know how else to reword it para hindi naman bad sounding at the same time not missing the point. 80's ako graduate and back then we take nursing not because of jobs abroad, coincidence na lang. EXPERIENCE will be your wealth. Without it parang you know the parts of the bicycle but you dont know how to ride one. Nursing is a CARE profession. Ang tanong eh, are you worth the $$ being paid to you?

Is that per month?. I think its too small... In Australia you could earn $2,000 to $5,000 per forth night (every two weeks).

Newly graduate registered nurse earns $2,000 per forth night and it doesn't include the penalties, working during weekends and overtime.
