Pagsanjan Falls, Laguna

Wanting to go to Pagsanjan Falls po. :)

Any tips po papuntang Pagsanjan Falls:
1.) fastest and cheapest routes going to the falls (via public or private transpo)

2.) sites to visit and places where we can spend the day/night

3.) costs of going to the falls -- boat/raft rides, etc.

4.) other helpful tips

Thanks!

  • went to pagsanjan december last year. sa mga tanong mo:

Kung kailangan mo pang mag-tricycle, you can do so.

FYI: The real name of Pagsanjan Falls is actually MAGDAPIO FALLS; Magdapio Falls is located in Cavinti, Laguna and NOT in Pagsanjan and river towards the river is NOT Pagsanjan River but Bumbungan River. ;)

Buster_104, i grew in in Pagsanjan but i haven't been there in my whole life.

i'll try to answer your questions ha.

    1. Are you from Manila? There is a bus station beside Arellano University at Buendia. You can ask kuyas there which bus you can ride. But, be sure na Sta.Cruz yung bus na sasakyan mo kasi may bus din going to Laguna but hanggang Calamba lang. 150 pesos yung fare. After non, sakay ka ng jeep papunta na pagsanjan 10+ pesos yung fare

    2. why don't you try these places:
    * Pagsanjan Falls Lodge
    * La Corona
these are the most popular hotels in the place. most of the Korean tourists prefer these hotels.

    3. 660/person. i prefer na sa hotels ka makipag deal ng boat ride para sure. pero madaming mag ooffer ng boat ride sa'yo along the way kaso baka tagain ka sa price, picanteshrimp was right :)

Another nice place is Pagsanjan's super old town arch. My grandma said egg whites were also used in building the arch i don't know if its true. :rotflmao: there were also rumors that it is haunted :naughty:

try to refer to these sites:

how much naman overnight stay sa pagsanjan? :)
  • Egg whites were usually used for old stones houses so I won't be surprised if they used it for building the church.

Also... 660/head for the boat ride?! That's atrociously expensive. hehe

These people need a lot of effort just to go againts the current of the river. When I went there, I was amazed how harworking these boatmen are..
  • ^totally agree... nung nakasakay nga kami parang gusto ko na bumaba sa awa ko sa kanila. heheh. buti na lang my aunt gave them a generous tip. kaya napawi lahat ng pagod nila:)

when i went there for a company outing in 2007, 750 per person

2 lang kami dun sa bangka

and its very true...sobrang EFFORT talaga *** mga bangkero sa pagbuhat ng bangka at pagtulak :-)

    Hello po:

Like, anong MRT station sa EDSA?

3.) Then sa Laguna, ano pong signage nung Jeep na sasakyan namin?

4.) Kapag pabalik, I guess, we'll just have to reverse the route, right?

Thanks po for the advice? :)

hi saggi, matagal ko na natikata yang blog mo na yan at very impress ako sa itinerary nyo. :)

  • While most tourists go to shoot the rapids in the summer, I heard it is better to do it when the rains come. There is more water in the river and Magdapio Falls is much more impressive.
