I have a Good News Translation Bible (with Deuterocanonicals); it's the one I commonly use. I also have a New King James Version (New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs).

So which Bible translation do you usually read?

King James Version, like my dad...but Actually I prefer New International Version, which is easier to read. I am aware though, that the many words or meanings have been lost in translation, hence some of the Biblical scholars really study the languages necessary to 'understand' the Bible.

I read the New American Bible Saint Joseph Edition. I want to try the other editions though especially King James and the International one.

i like NIV and NLT (New Living Translation), although of the two, i like NLT more. both translations are easy to understand.

I like every transalation. You cant stick to just one because some of the authors may have used the wrong word(s) to describe a crucial verb or pronoun that will entirely change the meaning of the OG verse.

^Kase sa Christian denominational circles, (Baptist, Full Gospel, Evangelist and etc), different preachers use varying translations. As a member/listener/spectator (whatever you want to call it), it's easier to follow through what he/she is preaching if you're using the same translation.

Also, some prefer other translations which is better suited to their tastes. Some prefer the MSG version, a version of the Bible best understood with our culture and language today. and etc.

I prefer New King James version though. Although sometimes I use E-sword (equipped with Strong's and Bible in Hebrew/Greek + dictionary) to check on the original Hebrew or Greek word used and it's proper translation, for better understanding of the context.

i was having a hard time reading the bible because i actually find it boring. either that or i was not accustomed to how it was written. then i happen to chance upon the "the clear word" version. guys i highly recommend that you google this version. it is quite easy to understand and uses modern english. check it out!

yung sa kin, i prefer king james version since yun yung authorized version... pero *****, it depends pa din sa magbabasa.. but i recommend KJV..
