Hyundai’s new flagship sedan is its most sophisticated car to date and a worthy contender to the luxury car establishment...

  • Mukha siyang BMW 3-series na may hawig din ng S-Class? *peace*
  • The Genesis is Hyundai's latest attempt to become a serious contender in the luxury car market. Their previous flagship was the Azera, which has been well received by most car critics and reviewers. However, Hyundai still has a mediocre resale/trade-in value compared to other esablished luxury brands.

It would have been better if they created a separate luxury branch for the upscale market similar to what Toyota did with Lexus, as well as Honda's Acura and Nissan's Infinity brands.

No diesel? nah! they should come up with a CRDI VGT engine. then it will be perfect! :)

i agree, hyundai's resale value should and must improve. sayang naman if they have good cars but then again, at the end of the day, the resale of value of these cars are so low that you cannot even seel it.

Rumor has it that the VeraCruz's engine can be mated to the Genesis... *okay*

^^ if that is the case, then its going to be nice and perfect!

im just wondering, what will be its FC kaya when its going to be finally released? if its (common rail diesel) with VGT then its going to be superb most especially in terms of performance.

meron bang Veracruz owners here that could support or give important details about its FC? we own a Tucson 4x4 CRDi and yet, as of now i am not happy with its FC. nagrarange lang siya from 7 to 8 km/liter. :( im still crossing my fingers that its FC will most likely improve.

that car would be in a price bracket which is pretty high already, if you can afford it, you most certainly could afford the fuel that it consumes, if you want something which is frugal, get a compact or something else:rolleyes:

2.8 million for a Hyundai seems mighty pricey to me. I mean, it looks good and all but for that amount of money a buyer will also be looking for some chutzpah that the Hyundai brand name doesn't as of yet have.

The SF 2.2L is doing pretty well... am doing 12km/l (and I have a heavy foot) when I use it.

But expect the VC's 3.0L engine to guzzle around 7-9km/L.

I think the 4x4 mechanism of the Tucson saps a lot of power from the engine... resulting in a rather "ordinary" FC.
