hello! hindi ako magpapakage tour, DIY ako everytime me travel. but climbing mt. K kailangan ng guide, think from rm70 to rm150 ang bayad per guide max of 8 climbers na. so mas cheaper kung madami tayo:) wala pa akong ticket, naghihintay nalang ng promo. no exact dates yet pero sana end of april or 1st week of may:) let me know if ur going para mas madami mas masaya:)

Mukhang mas mura pang mag-climb sa
Snow Mountains ng Taiwan. Also
planning to climb a few volcanic
mountains of Indonesia kung may
makakasama.
Parang fuji din price nila sa huts no, mahal!:) btw, anong mountain ba maganda sa Taiwan? Parang wala kc yan sa plans ko eh. Kelan pala plan mo for Indonesia ? Thx!
guys, patulong naman ako sa itinerary.. ill be at kk from nov 15 to 17. anyone can suggest tour packages na mura at sulit? most probably we might stay at lavender lodge.. at mukang yun ang magandang feedback dito. arrival namin is hapon na eh mga 5:30pm noon. then on the 17th, flight is at 5:30 going to manila. anyone can help? ty!

When my friends and I did a D-I-Y 2D/1N Mt. Kinabalu climb two years ago, we spent around RM 645.30 per person, inclusive of meals, climbing permit, insurance, guide and porter fees, certificate, plus transportation to and from Kota Kinabalu city proper. We booked directly with Sutera Sanctuary Lodges one month before our trip. We chose the dormitory-type accommodations at Laban Rata. Pricey talaga pero we had no choice. Pero mas mura pa rin compared to joining packaged tours. Click here for the trip expense report.
I think the current rate for a 2D/1N climb with Laban Rata accommodation is around RM 500-550 per person. Sutera will insist that you get the 3D/2N package, pero just tell the customer rep that your time is limited and that you have only two days to spare. Just email them and ask for the current rates.

I wanna climb Taiwan's Snow Mountain! Kailan ang plano mo?
I enjoin you to climb Mt. Penanjakan and Mt Bromo in Java. The view is spectacular! Too bad my camera died when I went there so I had to use my crappy phone camera.

Haha, no concrete plans yet for Snow Mountain climb. Puno na travel and climb sched ko for next year. Either 2014 or 2015 siguro ang Taiwan and Indonesia climbs.

Hi! You could google the companies offering tour packages in KK. When I browsed the net, they cost more than double per person, than DIY tour which my wife and I did. We just contracted a taxi driver for the city tour.
For the island tour, your hotel can help you get the lowest deal. You could read my blog account below for some info:
try OIB (only in borneo), pretty much their cost is the same sa net. wala naman gaano difference pero mas okay sa net kasi may mga package deals na makaka tipid ka. try getting the wild river and river cruise package (one day activity) mukang sulit at mura. for city tour mag hire ka na lang ng taxi. you can get as low as 90 RMD (or pag swertehen ka mas mura pa), entrance fees not included, para iikot ka sa city.
hi guys, me and my 6 collegues will be in KK this sunday dec 9 til dec 12. can you help us build our itinerary? and where to stay? we're on a tight budget and no plans of climbing Mt. Kinabalu either
dec 9 4:00pm clark to KKIA
dec 12 1:40pm KKIA to Clark
i got this from the previous post of private_erick
can you give me details where to avail these tours? DIY na lang siguro para mas mura
Sunday night: roaming the city - filipino market, streetfood stalls, eat @ jesselton port or see some of their malls.
Monday am - gaya sunday market then island hop at TARP - manukan, mamutik and sapi. if you are a fast mover. be back by lunch time
Monday pm - klias wetland river cruise for the proboscis monkeys and fireflies
Tuesday - visit the kinabalu national park - wholeday or
whitewater at padas river - wholeday
Wednesday - if time will permit check the mosque, clock tower, signal hill, city esplanade.
140pm flight back to clark
Bought a ticket as well pero its going to be from Manila to Brunei and KK back to Manila.( its just going to be a week travel. Any suggested itinerary?
sunday market at gaya st. is held sunday am till afternoon. so skip that. TARP na agad kayo. and yes, for the river cruise at fireflies sundo nito between 1pm-2pm. check the sked of the tour operator.
kung adrenalin junkie kayo - padas whitewater would be nice. and enjoy the train ride.
for the city tour kaya yan basta maaga kayo magstart. you can check out 12nn given na naka webcheck in na kayo at hand carry lang.

Ano highlights sa kinabalu natl park? Not sure kung kaya namen mag whitewater rafting hehehe
