Independence Day ... June 9???

I understand moving the holiday to the nearest Monday or Friday for other holidays, but for our independence day?? Are we the only country who moves the independence day holiday for the sake of convenience? This is holiday economics gone all wrong, IMO. I mean, WTF?? :grrr:

    The celebration will still be on June 12. The no work, no classes day was the one moved to June 9. Depends on a Pinoy whether he would celebrate his country's independence or not. The holiday be moved or not some Pinoys do not really celebrate it. Nevertheless, it's a good reminder to at least commemorate it in whatever nice way.
