70% standard passing grade - 4th term AY 2007-2008

I've been hearing this rumor since last week, that the Institute will be raising its passing rate from 60% to 70% in all the academic subjects. They are basically prioritizing Mathematics subjects.

My classmate told me that after implementing 70% by next term, they will eventually raise it again, until such time that the Mapua could recuperate from getting a large percentage of flunkers in board examinations.

What can you say about this, fellow Mapuans?

Is this the start of the coming back of Mapua?

owsss...60 % lang ang passing ngayon?...during my time which is not so long ago...hahahahaa...70 % ang passing..buti naman kung ibabalik ang 70%.

General Engineering courses have 60% passing.
On the other hand, CE major courses have 70% passing.

It's a good move.

from what I heard, our professor told us that 70% passing grade is caused by the survey done from our boardpassers, approximately, their average grade in mathematics was 2.5, which is 70%.
Addtional rumor:
*increase of 10% in tuition fee...

Sa Mapua Makati, 60% passing ng mga math subject at s mga subject na related n tlaga s course mo (like...C++,OOP,DBMS...IT kc course ko) 70% na ang passing...depende pa sa prof. mo kung ibaba niya yun sa 60%

during my time.. year 2000 lang.. 70% naman talaga ang standard passing grade..

binababa lang sa 60% (huling tawad) ng prof.. pero yung ibang prof stick pa rin sa 70%..

^right<batch 2k din ako>.initially 70% passing yung binibigay ng prof, pero ibababa yun sa huli pag minimal lang yung nakaabot sa passing grade. pero kung gagawing standard na yung 70%, good move to for mapua. afterall, yun naman talaga ang passing for board exam di ba.

ok lng un!! incoming frosh po aq... sbi nga po nla ngdedecline "daw" ang dmi ng mahuhusay ng mga eng. from mapua... pero i still believe dat mapua is still mapua... at very competitive ang mga eng. n grad ng mapua!!! d best p rn po kau!
