the Letran - San Beda Rivalry is really nice. I'm excited for next season. Ilang months na lang.. laban na ulit!

actually meyroon din noong 1996 and 1997 back to back championship talaga...pero yun lang nga ssc is more dominating that time because of adducul...sarap din nung panahon na iyon. basta ang dalawa ang maglalaban, puno talaga ang rizal memorial stadium...palitan ng score and talagang bakbakan ang dalawang team,,,todo bantay si norman gonzalez kay adducul,,,si ralf rivera naman ng san beda ang sasagot sa mga tres ni tanigue...and siyempre and unforgetable buzzer beater ni barredo ng san beda against san sebastian na pumigil sa pagsweep nila sa season 1997...sarap balikan ang mga oras na iyon...yun lang nga talo san beda...masakit na masarap ika nga. masakit dahil talo pero masarap dahil alam namin na ginawa ng RL ang lahat ng makakaya nila...ANIMO SAN BEDA!!!

power house team ang ssc that time. but i believe the sbc vs mit series during early 90's is better. 5 consecutive games of sbc vs mit to end the season. sbc lost that one but the experience is overwhelming. ang galing ng sbca during those time... ma angas.

Dante Barredo's miracle shot happened in 1996 and not during 1997. The San Beda-Mapua rivalry is indeed better compared to the so-called San Beda-San Sebastian one. I don't think there is really a rivalry of sorts between Baste and San Beda. It just happened that the latter was the "worthy team" or the "last team standing" to get mangled by the Stags in the finale. The same thing can be said by Letran's face-off with San Sebastian in the Juniors Finals this year.

The best rivalry is probably the Ateneo-San Beda battles followed by San Sebastian and Letran. Honorable mention goes to the La Salle-Letran battles which led to the infamous cancellation/suspension of the NCAA in 1980. Anyway, who doesn't get pushed to the brink when facing Letran? In the Juniors play, San Beda and Mapua's rivalry is the best although their teams of today are just a shadow of their past glorious years.

Ang pinaka the best na rivalry for me is the SAN SEBASTIAN-LETRAN rivalry... Sobrang init ng crowd sa isat isa. I don't think may san beda-letran rivalry.. Pero gusto kong makita ang SAN SEBASTIAN-SAN BEDA.. Hindi ko alam kung may rivalry, pero mukhang maganda din ang laban ng crowd.. Battle of the two best school in the NCAA.. Sana this season BASTE-BEDA na, false alarm lang this season ang baste, pero ang mga alumni e naghahanda na, sayang hindi nga lang pumasok sa finals. Pero ok lang, san a this season 85 BASTE-BEDA na.. Di rin papatalo ang mga alumni ng baste.. Kaya rin namin punuin ang Araneta..

Ok, you're on the right track when you said that the San Sebastian-Letran rivalry is the best, etc. That is why a San Sebastian-San Beda finals match is not worth it. Let the Red Lions go on with their rivalry versus the Red Cardinals from Mapua.:D

Yup! Opinion lang naman. I have a sister from san beda, actually ngayong season 84, ineexpect nila ang baste sa finals. BASTE-BEDA. Yun nga lang, false alrm, di pumasok ang baste. Maraming nanghinayang specially ang community namin, dahil 3 years na rin kaming hindi pumapasok. At mas gusto namin makalaban ang beda safinals, lahat ng alumni ng baste nag reready na kasi alam namin na full support ang beda, kaya kami rin. Actually, nanood ang sister ko ng beda-letran at sabi niya, as usual, beda crowd is louder than letran, 3/4 ng araneta were occupied by bedans, asan na yung mga alumni ng letran? And opinion ko lang naman to, nakita na natin ang beda-pcu, beda-letran, & beda-jru.. Sana this season, BASTE-BEDA na.. Im not against din sa beda-mapua. Squared rivalry nga tayo e.. diba?

Talagang konti lang ang nakapanuod ng Letran -beda game dahil regular work days ang sched ng NCAA..Its either for them to take a leave or mag halfday sa trabaho. Wala naman problema kung baste mo at beda eh. Battle of mendiola *****.

^^Oo naman, sigurado sa finals yan, sa laki ba naman ng perang ginagastos at win at all cost na ginagawa, abay napakasakit niyan kapag di umabot sa finals. Sana mag recruit pa Beda ng mga import para sa practice palang sa gym, tulo laway na mga estudyante nila.
