    THOUGHTS:

Very happy for Viggo Mortensen and Ryan Gosling! Their Oscar odds are getting cleraer and clearer.

Amy Adams snub is not surprising. They did not send DVD screeners of Enchanted to SAG members.

No Depp, Hanks, Julia, or Denzel? They're not that star ****** after all.

Very good day for Into the Wild.

Atonement got 0 nods! Sweeney Todd too and Charlie Wilson's War! Atonement is on its way to Cold Mountain.

3 acting nods for Michael Clayton yet no Ensemble nom? Then 3:10 to Yuma???

Russell Crowe is a DOUBLE nominee.

    ^Anong word 'yung na-censor after "star" ? :)
  • No Denzel for Lead Actor...:( That's OK...

    American Gangster for Ensemble! Yay!

    James Spader! *okay*

    Boston Legal! *okay*

    Wohoo!!!

    Congratulations to all the Nominees!
  • JENSIE_GJENSIE_G PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
I was wondering what happened to Atonement, Charlie Wilson's War and Sweeney Todd nga ... :hmm:

    Other random thoughts:

Ugly Betty managed to score two noms in one category, doing something the Housewives wasn't able to do.

SAG members really don't like Keira Knightley. They didn't nominate her for P&P, and still snubbed for Atonement.

Woah! They are really over Grey's?

Why is everyone suddenly loving Ricky Gervais???

Where's Minnie Driver. Another Falco nod.

Cate for Elizabeth? Wow! She can really be a double nominee this year!

The surest thing we've been saying for TV ensemble [Damages] wasn't even nominated.

All the nominees in TV acting Drama are lead characters.

After loving Johnny Depp and giivng him a win for Pirates, they suddenly dropped him for Sweeney Todd!

No Brothers and Sisters for Ensemble? It's like the best thing about the show.

People are really starting to get over Housewives while loving Tina Fey as an actress.

    LOL!

YAY for Angie! *okay* Good news eto para sa kanya for an Oscar nomination!

    And go Ellen! :D

Happy parin dahil nominated si America Ferrera!
  • Ryan Gosling for the win!
  • icolicol 10th PEx Oscar Pool Top 10
    For those who are curious,

Enchanted, Charlie Wilson's War, and Sweeney Todd sent NO screeners that's why they were snubbed. Though di lang anamn yun yung way para marecognize nila yun diba?

On the other hand, SAG members simply didn't like Atonement.
  • Angelina!!!!! :bounce:

I really hope he gets back to back noms. He's my afve actor pero I know he won't win.

The race is narrowed down to seven

    Depp
    Day Lewis
    Clooney
    Hirsche
    Mortensen
    Gosling
    Washington

with the first three already locks.

I'm positively shocked din na Viggo Mortensen went this far. Let's see if Oscars na ang next stop niya.
  • i'm smelling double nominations for Cate Blanchett come Oscars. The list may change though, but the acting awards winners usually gets the win at the Oscars especially for best actress and the supporting category.
  • America or Vanessa for the Lead Actress in a comedy series. I think come Emmy Awards America will once again score a nod for lead actress and Vanessa another supporting actress nod which i hope she wins this time. Vanessa's career was really revived by Ugly Betty.
  • Atonement shutout, I totally agree.

Daniel Day Lewis all the way!!!!
  • Atonemnt was supposed to be one of the top contenders in the Oscars ... looks like SAG derailed its buzz.

Im very happy with the nomiantions though, Viggo looks like he's getting an Oscar Nomination, and I love the 3:10 to Yuma Nomination.
  • JENSIE_GJENSIE_G PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
Can Keira Knightley pull off another historic SAG-snub-then-Oscar-nomination (think 'Pride & Prejudice') stunt again???
