If God really existed...

and by this I mean the Hebrew (so-called) god of the bible and that of evangelical christians, he would have already smitten all the atheists and the people who mock him. After all, he is very well known for doing this, as the bible attests to, numerous times
The fact that this has not happened means that in all likelihood, such a god does not exist (or does not exist anymore... or never had those powers in the first place, being more of a smokes-and-mirrors faker like the Wizard of Oz)
Of course, the "believers" refuse to let common sense lead them to this conclusion, and instead act like whiny kids making idle threats: "just you wait and see... you'll get thrown in hell". Once you wake up and realize how idle and stupid their notions are, you'll see them for the bunch of fools that they are. A bunch of suckers who just keep waiting and waiting and waiting for something that will never come... and if you tell them that, you'll quickly get their panties all in a bunch and have them frothing in the mouth, reacting wildly like a herd of monkeys... it can all be quite entertaining, actually...

All the more will God hide from atheists like you, in order for you to fulfill your freely-chosen destiny of living with Satan in the eternities in outer darkness of endless misery and perdition.
He will not be mocked by such threats and vain ratiocinations like you do here.
Faith precedes the vision, and not the other way around.
Continue to doubt Him, in the face of such a "great cloud of witnesses" such as we Christian theists, and He will surely not restrain you.
Go far from Him, and He will surely go far from you.
Go near to Him and acknowledge Him, and He will also acknowledge you.
This is a once and for all warning to all other theists who may happen to read this post of mine, in that at the Last Judgement, they will have no excuse, theists like me having amply warned and admonished them to abandon their vain atheism and to acknowledge the existence of an eternal God.
If you will not believe Moses or the Prophets, neither will you believe, and be converted, though one rose from the dead to tell you such.0 -

What is your evidence that "the believers refuse to let common sense lead them to this conclusion"?Frank_Macky wrote: »Once you wake up and realize how idle and stupid their notions are, you'll see them for the bunch of fools that they are.
What evidence do you have that their notions are idle? May you lay it down?Frank_Macky wrote: »A bunch of suckers who just keep waiting and waiting and waiting for something that will never come...
Again, what is your evidence that what these "bunch of suckers" keep waiting "will never come"? How did you arrive such a conclusion?Frank_Macky wrote: »and if you tell them that, you'll quickly get their panties all in a bunch and have them frothing in the mouth, reacting wildly like a herd of monkeys... it can all be quite entertaining, actually...
Funny. I really appreciate your choice of words to get your message across.

He will not be mocked by such threats and vain ratiocinations like you do here.It really is quite entertaining to see how the deluded keep coming up with more and more elaborate illusions in their attemps at defending the absurd.
Hint: Wizard of Oz...

In order to fulfill the eternal Biblical rule that "at the mouth of two or three witnesses shall everything be established", I am now, together with Adamantium here, warning the atheists to not mock the eternal Creator and God of this universe, His person, His name, His existence, His ways.
Because of this, you all atheists who read this post of mine and Adamantium's above, will no longer have any excuse for your willful and knowing unbelief and hardheartedness against Him, His Words, His statutes, and His judgements, at the Last Judgement before the Judgement Seat of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In gravity and sincerity this is a warning to all atheists here, especially to Frank Macky here, that they have been amply warned of it, that theists like me have admonished and exhorted them to believe, but that they still continued with their intransigent ways, so that at the Last Judgement you will not have any excuse, nor any reason, for your continuing unbelief.
Let the potsherds strive with the potsherds of the earth.
I repeat, God will not be mocked.0 -

I've just finished rereading Greek Mythology and it seems that the Olympians respond quicker than Christian God when it comes to punishing humans. I've also seen a lot of Olympian-god characteristics to Christian God
That's my thought anyway

My mistake. I should not have quoted him.0 -

And this begs the question, why.0 -

What I find most entertaining here is your asking question when you already knew the answer.0 -

Frank Macky this is actually a sign of His great love and mercy to mankind.
"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9)

1. "Unbeliever" poses difficult question.
2. Pick bible verse of choice - depending on your mood, whether you feel like portraying your god as loving and merciful, or wrathful and 'powerful'.
3. Morph the meaning out of context and try to shoehorn in whatever little sense one can manage...
4. Congratulate and tell yourself what a smart believer you are for having been able to find a verse you can apply #3 to.
Isn't it about time realised this for the thoroughly juvenile game that it is....? You 'believers' are not impressing anyone except your own lame, gay selves.0 -

the key to understanding the meaning of the Scripture is not by ripping one verse and translating it on its own....it is always a must that the scriptural verse be interpreted in relevance to the historical facts and traditions that were in effect during the time that the said passage was authored...because ignoring such factors is like saying that water can exist without oxygen or man can live without air and water.....0 -

^doing that, it will just degrade the scripture to some kind of history text.
by taking into consideration the historical exegesis of writings in the Bible, it is like studying blocks of instruction only applicable at that time, so what's the point?
it has nothing to do with what is now?
that is why the Bible became a "use your imagination that will apply to you" text, you can even reverse the meaning of a verse just to suit your point, and this is what christians esp. fundies, are guilty of.0
