WHAT HAPPENED
==============
Last June 20, 2007 dinala ko ung toyota gli 98 model ko sa toyota quezon ave branch, at ang nakita daw nilang problema at kailangan palitan ay yung axel bearing at clutch component, so i said ok do whatever it takes to fix the issue, nga pala di din naman ako ganon kagaling sa sasakyan kaya dinala ko na lang sa casa, sabi ng service advisor aabutin sya ng several days since madamin gagawin sa kanya at ung ibang pyesa sa axel bearing ay out of stock sila, kaya intay daw ako ng 3 to 5 days
to make the long story short, up til now August 31, 2007 di ko pa rin nakukuha sasakyan ko sa kanila dahil sa continous alibi nilang di pa din dumadating yung part ng axel bearing at clutch component, last week sabi nila at cinonfirm na andun na daw ung part at kinakabit na (dahil tinawagan na sila ng attorney kong kilala), pero hanggang ngayon un nga ala pa din sakin ung kotse ko at di pa rin sila nagsasabi kung kelan matatapos ito.
question / answer
=============
Gano ba talaga katagal ikabit at gawin ung axel bearing at clutch component provided na nasa mekaniko na lahat yung parts na kailngan? at makatwiran pa ba yung pinagintay nila ko ng halos 3 months sa toyota quezon ave branch? should i demand something like a discount or iwaive na ung charges? or panget talaga service sa toyota quezon ave branch?

Just go to BANAUE, and buy your parts there.
and have TQA repair it.
it's possible na they still don't have it in stock. SIMPLY BECAUSE they havent ordered it yet. (ganun talaga ang mga opisina,Negligence)

^^what he said. Just go buy the parts yourself and take it to someone you can trust to work on your car. At least you wont be *ss raped by the stealership.0

lol. pangit lang service. we have a car repair shop in banawe. text if you want details. for regular days (mon to thur) one day kung umaga mo pinadala. two days tops (tomorrow morning okay na). for fridays and saturdays, next week mo na makukuha. usually kasi pag fri and sat, corporate accounts ang nakapila.0

TQA is notorious for bad service. How in the friggin world would you not have a clutch and bearing parts for one of the most popular cars? :P
Go to another dealer or even to a service repair shop (don't go to Rapide though, they're also known to be "taga" to the customers). If you replace your clutch, change the disk, release bearing, and pressure plate... and aftermarket brand fopr the disk and pressure plate like ASCO will set you back around 3K-4K more or less for the three parts.0 -

ty for the info sir, i really agree with your comment that TQA really has a bad service, never again will i go take my car there.
2 or 3 weeks ago dumating na daw ung part na kailangan pero up til now KINAKABIT pa din daw!!! grabe! several weeks ? ganon ba naman katagal magkabit ng pyesa sa sasakyan0 -
For clutch repairs in the Banawe area, i used to go to Wheelers Suspension Haus before... it's along N. Roxas St. They did the clutch of our AE111 (1999) Corolla. Just buy the parts on your own... doesnt hurt to walk around and canvass in the Banawe area. I used before an ASCO clutch disk and pressure plate then got an original release bearing. They can also do your axle... is it making a grinding sound when you turn? that would mean you need to repack the axles (common problem with Corollas when they age adn the axles arent re-greased).0

HIRAP PA NAMAN KUMONTAK SA KANILA,,, BADTRIP YUNG HOTLINE NILA HOT TALAGA!!!!!!!!!!!! DI MATAWAGAN E!!!!!!!0 -
Easy lang bro.. .puso mo.
Recently the original clutch on our 1993 Sentra was already showing signs of needing replacement, i drove a kilometer down the road from Toyota Q. Ave to Banawe, spent 1,300 on labor and roughly another 4K for replacement clutch parts (Aisin/Exedy Japan) and added another 1.2K for a new OEM clutch cable from the Nissan CASA. The job was done in half a day.
What's it with those CASA guys? I passed by TQA some months back looking for PS fluid for our Altis and they had no idea what to give and what spec ATF would be compatible. I went to my car, checked the PS reservoir cap and went to ACE Hardware to buy a bottle of Dexron II ATF.0 -
Two weeks to one month ang ordering ng parts kung out of stock. Standard yun sa lahat ng Toyota dealers kasi nanggagaling yun sa planta. Yun sa TQA total negligence on their part. Di siguro na-order kaya delayed.
Service at Toyota Makati (formerly Toyota Bel Air) also sucks. Their mechanics are not knowledgeable on cars. Kinuha lang siguro sa mga maliliit na talyer. One time kasi pinaayos ko yung headlight. Ginawa ba naman yung right light nakatutok paderecho. Tapos, yung kaliwa nakatungo at nakatutok sa sahig. So, pag drive ko ng gabi parang bulag yung headlight ko. Hirap mag drive. Sabi sa Toyota Makati, ganun daw ang international standard. DUH!0 -
toyota is praised for its 'kahit sa sari-sari store meron' availibality on parts. iyong casa na ang problema.
just get the part that needs to be replaced, go to banaue and use it as a sample. don't forget to shop around/ haggle0
