Where to take 2nd hand diesel SUV's...

Hi all. Hoping for your input. Is there a shop in the QC/Pasig/Makati area that specializes in the maintenance and service of diesel-engine SUV's? I ask because if I buy a used Pajero or Patrol and do not wish to take it to the casa, is there an alternative?

Many thanks.

  • Diesel-engines tend to be much more robust and less-finicky than their gasoline-counterparts. As long as alaga sa change-oil at filters and maybe the belts they'll pretty much run forever.

Right now i have my maintainance work (outside of the usual change oil/tune-up w/c is done at my friend's auto supply) done at Autotechnika at the Fort, they charge reasonably, have the proper tools and equipment and i can watch them work on the car; i just bring in my own parts usually. They had some customer service issues recently (check out the tsikot.com board) but heck doesnt everyone have? So far i'm still satisfied with the work and cost so and i always keep an eye on the job.

If it's any issue major related to fixing the fuel system (i.e calibration) then a calibration shop like Betan, Denso, etc. is okay.

If it's suspension work then i go to Cruven or Zee and for alignment, Servitek in Ortigas Auto Camp.

There's another place in Banawe but the name slips me now...

Many thanks for your most helpful input sir. Two questions:

    1) Would have the addresses of the places you mentioned like Betan, Denso, Cruven and Zee?

    2) You said you bring your own parts when you go to AutoTechnika. Where do you buy your parts?

    Muchas gracias senor.

Betan and Denso has several outlets, a search on the yellow pages should help... The Denso outlet i knew about was the one in Banawe (e. rod side).

Cruven is located on 1st St., near Crame in Cubao (if you're on EDSA coming from P. Tuazon, its the area where the Petron station before the Santolan flyover is). Zee on the other hand is located at Aurora Blvd. right after the J. Ruiz station of the MRT (after the broadway area).

On parts, that would depend on what you need but i get my Mitsu stuff from Best Colt in Banawe and Nissan stuff from JAISI along E. Rod (near Araneta), Youngbros, or at the CASA. Best is to ask around and canvass always as there are circumstances where getting from the CASA is cheaper or almost the same as getting from a auto supply for OEM parts.
