non-itchy rashes/allergy sa face, neck &chest
hi guys,
i dunno what has caused my non-itchy rashes / allergy sa face neck, and chest. i'm sure this isn't measles kasi wala naman akong fever and wala rin sa back, thighs and legs.
i'm now taking claritin.
any initial findings? i'll consult a doctor the day after tomorrow.
please help :mecry:

It would be best if you skipped work or school and visit your physician immediately. The sooner the better.
Rashes belong to a very complicated gamut of signs and symptoms to diagnose.
it has to do with when the rashes came out, if you're stressed, any new or fairly recent lotion/cream/ointment applied to the body, body soap/shampoo used, excessive sweating, change in home environment(dustmites/bedbugs), your age, past allergies and the list goes on.................and on........
sadly some rashes can never be diagnosed. Doctors often have to resort to a shotgun treatment with low dose steroids for a few days.
Best advice: visit a dermatologist and constant followup should the rash stay in its place even after treatment.
just sharing... measles nga ata ito. i've had measles na before pero ewan why i have this na naman now.
the symptoms (spots) are here...nagsimula sa face, chest and arms and now they're down to my thighs and legs too. WALA LANG AKONG FEVER.
questions lang po:
1- pwede ba maligo? kung hindi man pwede ang body, pwede kaya to just shampoo my hair?
2- how many days will this last?! until when will i be nakakahawa?
thanks
if you HAD measles before, its unlikely you're having measles again. The fact that you have no fever makes measles very unlikely. There are a number of viruses that can cause rashes but they don't usually cause any harm. Better yet, consult an infectious disease specialist.
Rashes are a very tricky business and is not very easy to diagnose at times.
I agree with Tjmd, if you've had measles before (assuming that you really had it), it's highly unlikely you'll have it again. Since we can't examine your skin lesions personally, we can't really be sure what's causing it. If the spots last for a week, or if you have other symptoms like fever, cough (with phlegm or not), sore throat, colds, malaise (aka panghihina), or if the lesions become itchy, consult your physician. In the interest of others, observing proper personal hygiene is a must. Cover your mouth when coughing/sneezing. Dispose of used tissues properly. Most of all, always wash your hands with soap and water or use a hand sanitizer.
To answer your questions, yes you can take a full body bath (it's not a contraindication, not unless you're 2 days post-op).
How big are they? Are they progressing in size? How many days/weeks since you've started noticing them?
You can consult a dermatologist or a family physician.
i haven't bathed because of the doctor's advice (but thanks to marbles, i think i can bathe na tomorrow!) kasi daw baka ma-impede yung paglabas.
i'm not taking any med, just drinking lots of water and going for a pee every 10 minutes. whew!
your thoughts help me a lot, friends. thanks so much.:bashful:
thanks i will try and consult. they are very small individually kaya i ignored it, but collectively kita sila. they are not growing individually but lately parang dumadami.
