and fyi, that car is a 2 door 2006 civic. see how the car is pretty much still in 1 piece?!? guess honda's safety promise is real.

oh man. saw the picture.. grabe. Now whenever I drive down 241 toll road.. I will always remember her. ... this story made me think to slow down when driving.

Yeah like teenage boys don't do worse... Actually WHY TEENAGE GUYS shouldn't drive.

More than two-thirds of fatal single-vehicle teen crashes involved nighttime driving or at least one passenger age 16 to 19. Nearly three-fourths of the drivers in those crashes were male.

The thread title is sexist... I won't go as far as saying girls shouldn't drive.. In this case, its more like don't steal your parent's car, drink and then drive... Stupid mistake by the girl caused her her life. It's good that she didn't kill anyone else. Hope this will be a lesson to all...

Only the qualified ones should ever drive. I drive more than 100 miles everyday (except Saturday/Sunday) and I've seen so much stupid drivers out there. So be careful out there. Be a defensive driver. Use all your mirrors properly.

NOTE:
Side mirrors are used to cover all your blind spot from your rear view mirror as much as possible. Do not set your side mirrors where you see your back fender because the rear view mirror covers that area. So when you set your check your rear view mirror check and see which area it can't cover and use the side mirror to cover the blind spots.

but yung accident nung babae was NAGIISA LANG SYA.
and hindi nangangarera. the civic was merely an innocent bystander

nah, not all teenage accidents are because of RACING. Nearly three-fourths of the drivers in those crashes were male." Nighttime driving doesn't necessarily mean racing (na ginagawa ng mga bagets na lalaki sa Macapagal). Madilim, mabilis, CRASH!!!

Minsan pag nagda-drive ako, tapos may biglang ka-cut sa akin na male driver, iiling ako at sasabihing "tsk-tsk, stupid male driver"

Bottomline, like others here said, it doesn't matter which gender you belong for as long as you know how to drive defensively...

I guess someone doesn't think nighttime racing isn't dangerous and stupid especially when it's being done by teens...

Inexperience, miscalculations and of course taking stupid risks...That's teenage driving for you.

alright.. since I live less than 3 miles from ladera ranch. The girl is not a spoiled brat. It's very common actually in my high school that kids drive benzes, beamers, expeditions, cadillacs, etc. It's a very affluent community. (Ladera Ranch, mission viejo, laguna beach, laguna hills, aliso viejo, coto de caza, rsm etc)

Also, the 241 toll road is very wide... 3 lanes going north, 3 going south and the median can fit 3 lanes.. so basically 9 lanes wide.

She didnt drive over 100mph while passing sa toll booth.... she skidded.. kaya natamaan nya yung toll booth. gets?

and hindi intoxicated yung girl.. actually yung civic nga dun may nakitang alcohol bottles. the accident is still under investigation --- kaya sana we dont come into conclusions whose fault it is.. kaya nga accident.. walang may gustong mangyari 'to.

And instead na ang dami nyong reaction na kesyo girls shouldnt drive, she's stupid, she's a spoiled brat... etc etc --- just pray for her soul and her family to suepass this. sana rin hindi na mangyari to, sa ibang tao.
