Street Parking Fees

good day to you:) i just wanna share my view in the streets as of now... but im much concern about the PARKING FEES that is been collected to us motorist every time we park at certain areas which are public... I dont know if you have such an experience with these parking fees their tickets are either color yellow or color white and which has a 30pesos corresponding fee. i really dont know whats going on because of all the issues about the mayor and his wife that they are behind this operation. I really dont get it why they want to charge us 30 pesos everytime we park well i dont know if youre affected by the price because you always got 30 pesos to disburse.. but the problem is they are expanding too quickly that they exist in every corner of metro manila. For example, you went to a certain mall and you parked on a public street they would charge you 30 pesos which is alright because we seldomly go to the malls. but what if the parking fee have expanded in your street in front of your house where you park your vehicle everyday. that would be 30 pesos that will be collected to you each day.. am i right? so if they collect 30 pesos from you each day then what is the purpose of paying the LTO when you register your vehicle??? and yes we all know that registering is a part of security and safety policies of the goverment but if thats only the case they should charge us that much... its like signing on a pad your name and your car ID as simple as that and they charge you so much...
i really dont know whats happening on the streets why do they need to charge us parking fees they say its because its the last term of the mayor. but i couldnt just believe that the organization earns from that kind of scheme.. because ive talked to one of the P.A.(Parking Attendant) they say that their wages are in the minimum rate which is 350Php and if youre gonna analyze the area of their coverage. there are only few areas where cars park in huge numbers.
Here is another bad thing about that scheme. if you dont pay the parking fee they would write down your plate number but i dont know whats gonna happen in the mere future but ive seen in ticket violations that there is a column for non payment of fees is equivalent to 300Php for non payment. the question there is what if the P.A. didnt do their job well that they were not there when you park your vehicle and when you are leaving the P.A. wasnt also there by that time. then you would be charge of 300Php violation for the non-payment...
here's another thing if you wouldnt pay the parking fee even though you parked in the legal side which is left for the one way street and both sides for the two streets. do you know what they may also do?? they would call the Maynila Towing Group or they would clamp your tires even though your vehicle is not disrupting the traffic..
This is the latest that was reported to me today.. our front road is a one way street and the legal side is the left and there is also a bank where you could ramp your vehicle up facing the bank.. hear this the maynila clamping group clamp the vehicle that was on the left side and they even want to clamp the vehicles which is the ramp that was in front of the bank.. and as the security guard argue because one of the vehicles was the manager car. the one that who wants to clamp the vehicles are the one who have more courage to correct the security even though that personnel doesnt have any idea of the street law..
well anyway i just want you to know whats going on.... but if any of you have the power or the connections please investigate this scheme before its too late.. this scheme should be remove off the streets... Vehicles association this is one of the factors why the sales of the automotive industry is low its because its very troublesome nowaday to own a vehicle.. its like the goverment is telling us you cant park here, you cant park there, if you want to park you have to pay us and i tell you this is a form of extorsion.. its like the bottom line is no vehicles allowed to park..
well friendly reader i really have used up your time but think about this and if you have a friend who is a media share this issue to them.. because for me its pointless to have this kind of operation. good day:D

uh... mostly, mga areas that charge 30 pesos are mga nasa manila/ quiapo/ binondo/ chinatown area.
mga areas where LUPA IS AS PRECIOUS AS GOLD ITSELF, ganun talaga sa manila, kokonti lang ang parking.
para sa akin naman, i don't mind paying those rates eh. dahil i know na may bantay. each attendant has a SMALL AREA lang. kaya nababantayan talaga nila.
30 pesos is worth more than peice of mind knowing your car's gonna be taken care of naman e.
you have a choice rin. you can opt to park on those park lots din.
btw, do you know that in manila, parking spots are rented at 5,000 pesos per month? sa quezon city, libre mostly because malalaki ang mga lupa sa qc.
well stop going to manila, and just go to qc, then.0 -
araw-araw ako ganyan sa makati. barangay council according sa ticket ang nag implement. " ... are not responsible for any damage or loss" ; " ... customers who fail to pay .. shall deemed as illegally parked and subject for towing and impounding."
kahit sa fire hydrant ka pa tumapat sige pa rin at singil kahti na at-risk oto mo na ma tow.0 -
well yun lang ang benefit nung 30 pesos may nakabantay sa vehicle pero based on my on analysis di nagbabantay yung mga attendant na yan and correction di sila nasa mga land of gold pero mostly nasa mga area sila na mas madalas ang pasok at labas ng mga sasakyan. Pero as brock have said di nila sagot ang damages. for example may nambato sa vehicle mo all they can do is shout at that person hanggang doon lang. Pero kayo this is only my analysis. well actually gimik ito ni atienza because its his last term dati isang group lang sila ngayon naging dalawa na.. sa qc talaga wala iba kasi mayor doon... pero if you think its reasonable well i cant argue with that just let me remind you if this continues its price will also continue to rise up and if the other mayors needed funds well i cant tell they might copy this same kind of scheme.. ganon naman dito kung ano ang pagkakakitaan doon sila.. well maybe wala pa sa ibang areas kasi last year lang yan nagsimula nung mga june syempre babatanyan muna yan ng iba.. pag nakita nila may potential surely gagayahin nila yan... if you think its not possible then think again... kasi source of income yan bilangin mo ilan nagpark sa isang 1km street then times mo sa 30 magkano yon?? diba malaki din pero kayo... maybe you can afford it easily... but for me im just concern about the future.. that there maybe a point in time where all secondary roads will have a parking fee and let me tell you secondary roads are road that have a street name in any map with a few millimeter thiner drawing than the primary... and mostly of the parking fee are in secondary roads.. well im just sharing my opinion and perspective about this matter.. and one thing these people even their supervisors doesnt know anything about traffic rules and regulation.. good day0

well no.. I grew up in MANILA.
and I remember tenants would fight for that oh so precious parking spot in front of their stores.
and i remember pa nga na ang parking spot namin is 15 minutes walk away from our place. People in manila live in CONDOS and APARTMENT buildings. ganun ka crowded ang manila.
Kaya nga i am thankful na lumipat kami sa qc. where park space is a plenty. and hindi mo kailangang maki away sa tao for it.0 -
tama kayo. parking lang talagang pinag-aawayan pa. the reason kung bakit nasa street naka park oto ko ngayon is may inggitero na nagreklamo bat daw oto ko palaging naka park sa free first-come first served parking sa 1st floor e sila daw nagbabayad ng parking space sa upper floors ng condo.0

Eh kasalanan nila yun, late sila. Next time they should wake up and come early so they can get a parking slot.0 -
it's obviously a money making scheme of atienza...who said that safe pag nagbayad ka ng parking fee, wala naman kwenta yun mga attendant eh, di namna sila nagbabantya eh0
-
they do... i go to sto cristo often. and most of the nagbabantays are tambays nung area na yun.
soo they are sort of in their own turf.
ang hinire ni atienza are mostly the ones that are already being the parking attendants of the area eh. so ginawa lang nyang mas formal, and give them flat rates.
the attendants get 50 percent, btw.0 -

I go there once in a while... that place is a nightmare to drive in since you're always inches away from carts, pedicabs, and people.let alone parking there and getting your paint job scratched.
I don't mind paying P30.00 for parking as long as my car is safe but the problem is sometimes you don't know where it really goes (unless of course it's a private parking lot). Parking is a gold mine, why do you think there was so much issue on the Jadewell thing in Baguio and the street parking near UA&P....
I also like it when some parking areas give a leeway of around 20mins free parking, or ask only a minimal fee if you'll be there not too long.0 -
have you all heard the news last week when some parts in qc have been doing the same thing but the residents there countered it immediately but still there is a operation that is going on.. but the republic act in qc is different in manila.
ive never heard that the attendants get 50% of the parking fee because ive been talking to the attendants and they are paid in minimum wage. just look at them they dont go as early as they should have. they are not that eager to collect parking fee that you could a term for your payment. and the collection of parking fee are up to 5pm only and they start at 7am which 8 hours of work. and if they have certain percentages they will extend up to 7pm if in terms of commision. diba sayang yung 2 hours may paparking din sa mga time na yan>>>
they really dont guard your vehicle they just slack over a newspaper stand or some stand they just waiting for vehicles to park in and collect fees.
And people stop keep on saying that your vehicle will be safe. there is not such thing as a parking space outside that is safe.. its only safe from the clamping and towing but if a kid throw a rock on the or scratch the body of your car the attendant will not do anything. they may just shout hey!! and thats it..
well its up to you all0 -
i dont mind paying 20 bucks as long as there's a ticket and the car is safe from being towed or clamped. what ticks me off are the the watch-your-car boys. i hate it when they demand a certain amount just because its their turf.
when i was in college, we have to pay 20bucks for the ticket and another 20 for the bantay. thats f#cking ridiculous!0 -

they do? dude, I grew up in binondo, and I'm there everyday kasi doon pa rin office namin... I don't think binabantayan nila ang mga cars, ang binanbantayan nila is kung meron mag park dahil kailan magbayad..that's it...0 -
well if you work up in the office buildings, how can you see nga if binabantayan nila or not.
i talk to some of the attendants. and i ask them hangan saan ang pwesto mo?
and they'd point out certain stretch of road. and i ask, so after nun, sa iba na? they go yes.0 -

as I've said I grew up in binondo, our office is still there, our business is still there, my parents still lives there...I'm there eveyday, I walk the street of binondo everyday to go to the banks, do errands for the family biz... I see all these parking attendants everyday... are these enough reason that I should know what the truth is???
I'm not picking an argument with you what I'm just saying is that all they care about is you paying the fees....they don't care whatever happen to your car after that...0 -
if you wanna save money.. just say to the attendant, 'whag mo nang resibuhan' and hand him 20 bucks.
