The BEST NBA Franchises:

Kung may worst franchises, syempre dapat may best franchises din. Lakers for me. Halatang bias na ako kaagad pero Lakers talaga for me. Kareem, Magic, Shaq, Kobe, Chamberlain, West, Mikan, Rambis, etc. They won championships, sold-out home games, wowed the audience, been consistent in winning, have a very solid overall franchise win-loss record and have always attracted the media's eyes.

Lakers = the best franchise for me. Los Angeles is still LAKERLAND! ;)

There are several factors in judging a team for being the best. The first is number of titles and the second is overall success. If we simply go by the number of titles, that would be the Boston Celtics with 16.

However, for overall success, its the Lakers. The Celtics may have won titles in three decades, the 60s, 70s and 80s, but the Lakers on the other hand have won titles in four, 50s, 70s, 80s, and early 2000s. And despite not winning a title in the 60s, they were the most dominant team in the West in that era. In addition, the Lakers have the best total winning percentage among ALL NBA teams and the second most titles in the NBA with 14.

Legendary Players who wore the Lakers uniform:

    50s.
    George Mikan

    60s and early 70s
    Jerry West
    Elgin Baylor
    Wilt Chamberlain
    Gail Goodrich

    Late 70s and 80s
    Magic Johnson
    Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
    James Worthy

    2000s
    Shaquille O'Neal
    Kobe Bryant
  • yeah i should say the Lakers.

probably the most glamorous and one of the best-organized franchises in the league.

    they're the "Yankees of basketball."
  • As much as I don't like them, the Lakers, for longevity alone, should be up there.
  • 2000s
    Shaquille O'Neal
    Kobe Bryant
    Lamar Odom is next. :D
  • Lakers without question, followed by the Celtics although they've lost their glory in recent years.
  • Question: In the last 50 years, how many times have the Lakers failed to enter the Playoffs? 2005 was the last I can remember.
  • KobeWanKenobiKobeWanKenobi PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
In its entire history, the Lakers have only missed the playoffs five times and thes came in during the following seasons:

    1958, 1975, 1976, 1994, 2005

In contrast, the Boston Celtics missed the playoffs 15 times:

    1947, 1949, 1950, 1970, 1971, 1978, 1979, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2006
  • What is the overall W-L of our Lakers, KWK? :D
  • PExMan_00PExMan_00 PEx Influencer ⭐⭐⭐
and since 1960, the lakers have been in the finals 22 times, so that's 22 in 46 years...

btw, tanong lang... kung 1982, nagchampion ang lakers, tapos sila din ang #1 pick sa rookie draft, pano nangyari ung? wla pa bang restricted draft rights dati? la lng...
  • Gotta be the Lakers. Most consistent franchise there is.

a toss up between lakers and celtics.

the lakers is still a playoff contender nowadays.

the celtics is still holding a record of number of consecutive champions.

The Lakers in 1980 traded a player (Don Ford), their 1980 first round pick to the Cavaliers for Butch Lee and the Cavs' 1982 first round pick. The Lakers were lucky in the sense that in 1981, the Cavs became the worst team in the league, thus giving LA the first overall pick in 1982 which resulted in James Worthy.
