We are in our early stage of exploring, technology is advancing in exponential rate since the 20th century, in human life, we are not even a infant or a toddler, science is just in a stage of fetus in proportion of the age of the earth of 5 billions years ago, everytime there is new things has been discovered and new questions that is being answered. HOwever, tt doesn't mean the answer right now is correct, it might change tommorrow, but as of now, its the most sensible data that we can work on, and we should not stop and should continue explore for the expansion of human knowledge.

origin of the universe.....
http://public.web.cern.ch/public/Content/Chapters/AboutCERN/WhyStudyPrtcles/WhyStudyPrtcles-en.html
Scientists have found that everything in the Universe is made up from a small number of basic building blocks called elementary particles, governed by a few fundamental forces.
Some of these particles are stable and form the normal matter, the others live for fractions of a second and then decay to the stable ones. All of them coexisted for a few instants after the Big Bang.
Since then, only the enormous concentration of energy that can be reached in an accelerator at CERN can bring them back to life. Therefore, studying particle collisions is like "looking back in time", recreating the environment present at the origin of our Universe.
What for? To understand the formation of stars, earth, trees, everything you see around and, finally, us!

for the beginners, cern sites have loads of questions and answers, they are easy to understand too..
where are the building blocks of life came from?
let us simplify:
building blocks of matter :
nuclear level - non living things
subatomic>atomic>molecular
click the arrow > gif in the site below
>>>on cellular level -all living things
we know that the basic building blocks of proteins are amino acids, probably its best to go back to our basic chemistry, combinations of molecules to make a chemical element. hehehe..
conclusions, we know the materials of living things, as of today, we have not formulated the buildings blocks of life to put that into life. However, it doesn't mean that we can't do it, DNA was just discovered 50-60 years ago.
In other words, as of now, ABIOGENESIS has not been proven that life came from non life, as above, we know that the compositions of livings thing/organic..... but, who knows maybe he haven't gotten the perfect temperature and combinations to make simple non living matter into living matter............
We know today that all matter in the Universe is built from nearly a hundred different types of atoms, each one made up of electrons with negative electric charge circulating a positively-charged nucleus. The nucleus itself further consists of nucleons: positive protons and neutral neutrons.
Physicists call all these components of matter particles.0 -
In the near future, given the technology, it's possible to virtually looked back in time and have a glimpse of how our universe came into being, and how living matters spontaneously evolved on earth.0

i think your question had been answer in other thread let me post it again that
E=MC2 first.
we know that matter is energy, we have valid questions that has not been answered, now with the technology is advancing, we have the answer to this question.....
Is enerygy can be converted to matter? the answer is YES.
go to CERN site, they had news regarding this question. They experimented it again and again that it takes a huge energy to transform into single particles... this question has been answer a long time ago in the law of thermodynamics, matter(energy) can not be destroyed nor be created, they just keep changing its form.
found it...here it is:E=mc2
Energy and matter How can energy be transformed into matter? What kind of matter do I produce?
How can energy be transformed into matter, or vice versa?
Big meteorites traverse our solar system with a typical speed of about 30 km/sec. If such a meteorite enters the Earth's atmosphere, its energy of movement is converted into heat, reaching 100,000 Co or more and melting most of its material ('shooting star'). And the speed of light is 10,000 times greater than this 300,000 km/sec!
According to Einsteins special theory of relativity, no material object can be accelerated to the speed of light. But it is possible - using circular accelerators at CERN - to make single particles (like a proton, the nucleus of a hydrogen atom) go at 99.99999% of the speed of light.
If two particles coming from opposite direction and at this speed collide, the huge amount of energy set free in the collision can be transformed into matter. This is the opposite of matter transforming into energy, the basis of energy production in nuclear power stations. But these are two sides of the same equation, E=mc2.
if your question: Is matter is fixed? it is increasing or decreasing?
the answer is NO, otherwise it will violated the first LAW of thermodynamics, as i mentioned above. Matter can't be destroyed nor created, if it can not be created, it can't be increasing, and if it can't be desrtoyed it cannot be increasing. So therefore, the amount of matter in the universe is fixed.
if we ask specific matter such oil, Can oil be depleted in our planet earth? the answer is possibly YES, becuase the oil itself has been transforming into different matter. The theory that we have right now is that oil came from dead plants and animals that have been crushed over millions of years, called the fossil fuels. It's possibly that we will run out of oil, becuase it takes millions of years to tranformed fossil fuels than it can be consumed by human.0 -
hehehe.. don't worry, we'll have other source of energy, we already have loads of alternative energy, solar system will be lots better than it used to....0

Jeez.
la_flash, you're sorely lacking the intellectual mettle required for this particular thread. Go spread disease somewhere else.
Jaywalker, this is posterboy speaking.0 -

huh?
Is that the best you can do?
Why not answer the questions yourself instead of underestimating my
intelligence?
As I see it, you're the one who sorely lacks the intellectual mettle...0 -
The way you argue could even make the most staunch of apologists bury their face in their hands. The questions you raise are idiotic.
Your statements are litered with non sequiturs and you try to pass them off as gospel truth.0 -

Sneaking God into any discussion isn't my style. On the
contrary, it is the people like you who always assume that whenever a professed theist ask any question, he/she is trying to sneak God into
the discussion.
Geesh... and so I thought I've read somewhere that the atheists
are more advanced.0 -
