Wow, you don't know? GE's the world's most admired company and number 9 in the Fortune Global 500. Huge, respected company. If I'm not mistaken, they had a spin-off outsourcing arm not too long ago, GE Capital International Services (GECIS). I do know that GE practically invented outsourcing. They were one of the first to take their manufacturing operations and office services offshore back in the 70s, and the systems and processes they invented are still being used in the BPO biz today.

Oh, yes it stands for General Electric. Jack Welch was CEO, if he still isn't today.

If they're finally going to explore opportunities in the Philippines, it's to be a huge boost to our image as a viable BPO center.*okay*

they spun off GE. they sold 60% of their company to 2 equity companies and now carry the name GENPACT. HQ is in India and their CEO is Pramod Bhasin...
