how to avoid a Traffic Enforcers politely

Sometimes when you are on a rush it means that you sometimes disobey or forget traffic rules err time management perhaps could solve the problem but how could you escape from them??if you get caught even sometimes you are right they seems to still have the authority to apprehend you..my ideas would be
1.Put some Intimidating stickers on your windshield
2.Mention Names of a Respected Public Officials when apprehended
3.Ignite your grills and roof /w sirens and blinking stuffs
4.Change to Commemorative and Government Plates
5.Present Government ID's instead of Drivers License
if all else fails then the good thing for this is to BRIBE politely!!cause its a hassle for us drivers to claim license from what area your apprehended..for example if you live on makati and your apprehended in manila so it give you hard time to get it in Manila city hall.please give ideas on it,i know its not the right thing to do but sometimes it really needs to be done to avoid the disturbance.

typical example of selfishness and lack of discipline. :grrr:
just because you're in a hurry doesn't give you any right to "disobey or forget traffic rules". it's people like you that worsen the traffic situation in metro manila. and you have the gall to "avoid the disturbance" when you are the one causing it?

really? if you get apprehended in manila, you have to get your license from manila city hall? i've never been caught violating any traffic laws, so this is news to me.
  • looking for tips on how to avoid a cop is too late when you have already been stopped in the first place  just suck it up and let him give you a ticket.
  • i got dizzy reading dizzy_already's first post (its IN a rush and IN makati)

yes you have to claim your license from th city hall where you got caught.

and yes i agree, this attitude smacks of selfishness. follow traffic rules! or else, pay the fines! nuff said.

    WTF? :grrr:

yep. tis true. Manila now has his own set of "Private Army" to enforce their traffic laws with. All hail maniLA!!! haha.

but my way is... i just outright tell him some white lie. Like if i get apprehended in pasig. i tell him, sir sorry po. hindi ko alam eh. (usually naman ang huli ko is yung mga illegal left turns or counterflow pag 1 way... mga honest mistakes talaga). i just tell him na sorry. dahil i'm not from here. i'm from QC. Kaya hindi ko alam yun. Pag usapan nalang natin!! most of the time naman 80 bucks gets me off na.

or if nahuli ako malapit sa bahay.. sir dyan lang naman ako sa loob eh.. kapit bahay tayo! baka pwede nang pagusapan!?

and most of the time. i get out with no bribe na. or 50 bucks.

guys be easy now, kaya nga POLITELY e..i too obey traffic rules its just sometimes the bad thing is that some areas in metro manila have poor signals and warning signs(include the bad public drivers)when your gettin experience sometimes you tend to forget that certain rules on d road, hit me when its not true dudes..driving and traffic is a part of every persons who lives in NCR but cud they somewhat give some considerations to some violations that are not too harsh??cause last time my gf and i plan to go to RDS manila, when we almost gonna turn to the parking lot of the mall an enforcer stop at us and tellin us that my gf is not wearing her seatbelt,i told to the enforcer that she's gonna go out the car at the same time im gonna look for a parking which is our agreement before that, the dude said"Ser hendi pu nka set bilt kasama nyu, panu pu yan ordinance pu namen yan bote endi po kayu sa makate at mahegpit dun"i try to reason out over and over but he refuse, and tellin me dat seminars and stuffs like that to pay so i don't have a choice but to give ube to him..

its just sometimes when they think that they commit mistakes they still have the authority to apprehend you whatever the cause will be.

by d way i just went to manila city hall to get my license..obstruction is my violation so that would be php500. i was told that the lowest violation is illegal parking and cost php400...if u know fines on violations(MMDA,LTO enforcers,City Enforcers)which they have different violation fines please post it up so that i know what are the consequences of my negligence on the road..

Color Coding is 300. Sometimes i ask them to just do that. IF WORSE COMES TO WORSE. Na they want to get their day's ticket quota. Actually i haven't done this yet. lol. Pero one time i got asked if titicketan nalang. He said something like lowering fines. I thought of color coding. pero. i ended up persuading him to just get the money.
  • if they are only looking lunch money, a video cam will come in very handy. Maski walang tape o battery. Pretend shooting the moment he starts approaching. This should scare them off. Pero kung may offense ka talaga, I suggest you follow proper procedure and pay the fine. Maka log out na nga!

  • 3.Ignite your grills and roof /w sirens and blinking stuffs

unless ambulansya ka, bawal ito. hinuhuli ang mga may illegal sirens. or again, unless si gma, noli, sc chief justice, or whoever is allowed by the law to use blinkers and sirens.
4.Change to Commemorative and Government Plates

isa pang bawal ito. lahat ng commemorative plates ngayon hinuhuli. i would like to hear your suggestion on how to change your private plates to government plates. :rotflmao:

as a general comment on 1-5, doing these infantile actions will only get you in more trouble.

Well I understand, malaking hassle pumuntang LTO-East Avenue at magpa-seminar (I live in Bicutan, for crying out loud). Pero yun ang tamang gawin eh. Just take the ticket and accept the sanctions.

That said, I do hope the sanction system changes, e.g. the traffic cops didn't have to take your license.

its because sometimes traffic signs in manila seems to be broken or worse its completely hidden from your windshield, thats the thing wer you can contest your violation but god sangkatutak na investigation pa. i remember one time i was headin to the airport and was caught counterflow on a run about circle the "Chocolate boy" apprehend me tellin me my violation of course i try to tell him repeatedly and politely that theres no sign that you stay on the lane like arrows or something and no one is passing so youve mistakenly that its safe to turn(by the way,im goin left to Petron to take a leak)he keeps tellin me the same violation over and overwhen i look at him he seems to be shy at himself but the bad thing he already has my license so ticket and stuffs like that, but i ended up giving ube.. the day after i pass again to that run about road they put signs and arrows,so if ever i try to contest it i ended up being the loser..

FROSHIE1 its never a gud news for me to let our country down, its just ideas thats why i write it here to relieve my anger to the system.the time i wrote this one, i was caught twice on that day so my nerves are still freshly shaking that time.

and for TUNASASHIMI's answer its just that i really pissed of on our traffic rule system i dont have any intentions on doin all of that.its just my idea on what i see when you do that things its a walk in the park you drive peacefully.
  • in case you get stopped...(sometimes it's valid, sometimes it's not) just make sure you're polite to the MMDA or cop. if it's a valid stop, just suck it up and take the ticket. but be warned - my uncle once spent 8 hrs in line just to get his license back! (can't remember where...)

IF it's not valid, and they're just trying to "fill their quota" - take your license out and put your wallet away. this has happened to me 3x already. by putting your wallet away you are signifying that at no point are you willing to give a bribe. i can't say that it will work all the time, but as i've said, it's worked for me 3x, and as long as you're polite, as soon as they see the wallet set aside, they will be polite to you back, give you your license, and send you on your way...caveat: i believe they have to SEE you put your wallet away - or else they might just think you're hiding it.

can i rant on this thread?

can i say EFF YOU to atienza? it seems like he's in dire need of CASH now that this is his last term. Kaya he's been giving traffic violation tickets left and right. Money that he'll harvest at the end of his term.

kahit wala akong kasalanan eh binigyan parin ng ticket ng effing pulis right beside the city hall. next week is holy week pa. so can't claim my license until week after pa. worse i read the parking ticket, nowhere in it says 'this is valid as a temporary license' like those old mmda tickets.

    EFF YOU ATIENZA.

Hahaha tinubos ko kanina, all i paid was 150..

well what happened was, he wrote me up for swerving. then syempre ansama ng loob ko sa huli, i wrote down, 'No violation. Forced To Sign.' sa memo area. i guess my handwriting took up too much space. making whatever he originally put there unreadable.

after that, he put down 161.

Guess what? I just got charged for 161 and didn't get charged for swerving.. HAHAHAH..

i just paid P 150. it was for arrogance/ discourtesy..

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
