does the local VW dealer sell the Golf GTI?

It's not in the car sites or buyers guides in local mags pero if you have the dough, do they sell it here. if not, i think they should.

no not yet, top gear gave it a good review than the 1 series.

i don't think there's an existing dealer of vw cars in the country right now.after the vw polo was sold here several years back, nothing new came out from them again.too bad...

it may be available through indent-order from autostadt (which is owned by the same guy who beat up the top-gear editor) but the price would probably be comparable to a low-end three series.

VOLKSWAGEN is shopping around for a new authorized importer/distributor to replace its troubled, and troublesome, local representative.

That's good news. I was wondering when VW would EVER realize Autostadt was doing absolutely nothing for its presence here.

I'm hoping for even just the base-model Mk5 Golfs to come here. The GTI might be asking for too much, that badge has no "pull" here. The only sore point would be the pricing I reckon...

I think nobody wants to be a VW dealer here dahil narin sa mahal ng cars nila at lack of support ng VW head office.Tamad lang tong APC/Autostadt kaya pumalpak ang VW nila though nakabenta naman sila ng New Beetle at Touaregs.Available by order ang VW Golf GTI sa kanila but hintay ka ng 3 months para makuha mo...

baka naman if VW changes dealers, magkaroon nga sila ng presence dito. look at what happened to audi. if i'm not mistaken, auto prominence din ang dating humahawak dito. hanggang lapitan sila pga cars (tama ba?) para i-take over yung dealership rights. ngayon, very visible sila. habang ang dating auto prominence ay nakikipagaway dahil sa nexxus nila

yes AP sold audis, alfa romeo & proton.
