Working for IBM

I got a call from IBM in Eastwood for an interview with the manager this Friday. Any suggestions for the interview? What's it like working there?

goodluck na lng. I was interviewed yesterday. Medyo kabado nga lng.

Anyway, medyo di naman masadong mahirap yung tanong, kaya wag ka lng kabahan. Kinabahan kasi ako kahapon kaya kung ano ano na lng ang nasagot ko.

    Gudluck again

does the hiring process of ibm really take so long? i've been waiting for a really long time now, and they keep saying they're waiting for the manager to give my schedule for the final interview...>.<

ang bagal nga ng hiring procedure nila. an hr agent from ibm called me and said i am scheduled for a technical interview 7pm with their boss.. pero walang tumawag. the agent called again and he said the boss in busy working out of town so expect a call the following day. pero wala pa din.. hanggang ngayon. 4 days na.. hehe wala na siguro yun!

If I were you guys I would look for another company to work for! IBM is all name and the most F#$%^!d up company that I have ever worked for! payroll disputes every month, and the worst thing about it wag ka na umaasa madidispute mo pa yung kulang sa sweldo mo! at to make things worst magugulat ka na lang may iaabot na letter sa'yo asking for your authorization for them to deduct a specific amount from your salary dahil bandang huli ikaw pa daw may utang sa kanila dahil sa overpayment daw! Then they will promise you heaven and earth when all they give you is HELL! pagkailangan nila ng support instead na magpromote ang kukunin nila eh "Apprentice" sweldong agent ka pa din pero ang ginagawa mo eh kung ano na talaga ang ginagawa ng QA/TL (tapos sweldong ahente) in short they are taking advantage of their agents skills, tapos sasabihin *** after 3 months promoted, pero 7 months ka na na ikaw na main support ng floor and then all of a sudden bigla kang ibabalik sa ahente without any apparent reason! imagine QA kita tapos all of a sudden uupo ka sa tabi ko magcacalls dahil binalik ka nila bigla sa pagka agent! So if your planning to apply at IBM then I suggest you think again!

Guys to give you reminder, if you are IT (except programmer) please avoid moving to IBM Solutions Delivery and depoyed to IBM GPS, napaka toxic ang trabaho dito, promotions based from preference not from your performance, you need to kiss some a$$ to be promoted, talo benefits dito, wlang retirement, Leave not convertible to cash, pag minalas malas ka pa ma-forfeit pa leave to next succeeding year.ang masaklap is 60 days notice pag nagresign ka, tpos pahirapan sa clearance kasi mahirap hagilapin *** mga tao. And the worst of all pag napunta ka sa People Manager na a$$h0l3....this is just a reminder, its up to you if you want to pursue your career here. But if you go to IBM Philippines (original IBM), dun maganda,kc sa ibm hndi nmn centralized ang benefits package. If you are an agent and went to CRM, be aware of the payroll dispute every cutoff,,and gudluck kung maibabalik pa *** kulang na sahod. There's a lot of company that can give you better than this.

maraming salamat po sa mga sasagot!

Disclaimer: I am speaking based on my experience and not as a representative of ISD.

    1. Yes. In my short stint in the group, I had a good experience. There are very capable leads who would mentor you on different technologies when idle.
    2. Not sure.
    3. Yes. One of my mentors before was sent to Australia for a project. Others in Europe or America. I was sent abroad for some training classes.
    4. So far, yes. People are pretty much open and the structure of the organization allows you to speak with your managers freely. There are times though when people are busy but again, the structure's not rigid.

I used to be part of the Global Delivery Center where the Java Development Group belongs to. I have since transferred to the Software Labs Services. ;)
