what is the immediate cure for folliculitis?
mine was kinda itchy and inflamed.
caused by careless shaving i guess :(
  • IraIra Member PEx Rookie ⭐
Folliculitis can be relieved by warm compress. In cases of infection, topical antibiotics like Bactroban ointment may help.

if you get infected by this form of std at mouth what are the symptoms , and how can you cure it ?
  • Andy_rnAndy_rn Member PExer
I think the best option for you to do right now is to see a doctor IF you HIGHLY Suspect that you have it. Di biro-biro yan and di dapat ginagamot yan base lang sa nabasa mo. I know it could be quite embarrasing but doctors are used to that kind of scenario, especially those who specialize in veneral diseases.

    Peace...

If it WERE herpes simplex, it would not completely be cured, it would just lie dormant until a time when you have compromised immunity, then it will flare up.

Herpes simplex is usually found at the corner of the lips. It's better to have a doctor look at it if it's still there.

Just for everybody's information, Herpes Simplex is not always sexually transmitted. So if you see somebody with Herpes Simplex labialis (on the lips) or with herpes corneal ulcer (in the eyes), these varieties are NOT sexually transmitted.

But I do concur, it's still best to see a doctor if that's what you suspect.

yah i think i have blisters at inside of my lips , but it didnt developed into ulcer , it doesn't for , i just get irritated bcoz it looks like small pimples its color white thats all.

I've merged the two threads you started on the same topic. Next time just continue in the same thread.

As we have said, better have it seen already, especially if it has not healed yet. It may just be a simple "singaw" or something else. Hard for anybody to guess without seeing the actual lesion.
  • rave81rave81 Member PExer
actually there is no any lesion inside my lips, and not even "singaw" bcoz it doesn't hurt , can you recommend me what doctor should examine this ?
  • eyedoceyedoc Member PExer
Any general practitioner (or any specialist, for that matter) should be able to identify this. If you want a specialist, look for an ENT.

I have cold sores in my mouth today. I have experienced it thrice
in my life. What are the possible ways to treat this and to keep
this from recurring? What are the factors that triggers this
infection? Is it true that excessive stress physically and emotionallly can contribute to its recurrence? Thanks.

There are several prescription anti-viral medications for controlling herpes outbreaks, including valcyclovir (brand name Valtrex), famciclovir (Famvir), acyclovir (Zovirax) and Docosanol (Abreva). Acyclovir was the original antiviral drug of this family and is now available in generic form at a much reduced cost. Eating dairy products and other food high in lysine and arginine might also help.

Abstinence is an effective way to prevent contracting or spreading this disease (including abstinence from oral sex).

Herpes is contracted through direct skin contact (not necessarily in the genital area) with an infected person. The virus travels through tiny breaks in the skin or through moist areas, but symptoms may not appear for up to a month or more after infection.

I had been diagnosed with genital herpes around 3 mos. ago. This time, I'm having a recurrent outbreak, though it's not as bad as the initial outbreak. I'm currently worried because the opening of the new semester might pose sources of stress which could lead to more outbreaks. I'd like to ask help..from anyone who has knowledge about genital herpes and how to deal with it. How does one deal with the emotional damages caused by this STD? Are there any support groups in the Philippines that could help Herpes-inflicted individuals?

Help me naman guys..I think I have genital herpes...

Di ko sure kung pano ko nakuha pero kasi I have prolonged menstruation and I've been using tampoon for the past 2 months. It started lang as small rashes near sa vaginal opening so akala ko parang hadhad lang and I put in topical antibiotic pero parang everyday, it gets worse..now meron na siyang mga bumps na me parang water sa loob pero wala namang discharge.sobrang painful niya pag umiihi ako. I stopped na din putting in the antibiotic kasi baka makalala lang. I can't go to the doctor right now kasi medyo malayo ako sa bahay ngayon pero sobrang nahihrapan na ako and nadedepressed. Help niyo naman ako if merong mga medications or anything na pwede ko gawin para magdisappear na siya. hay.
