Where to bring my Rav? — PinoyExchange

Where to bring my Rav?

I bought my 2nd hand 2001 Rav4 (with 50K odo reading) around 6 months ago...

Ayos pa naman siya at di ako binibigyan ng prob...
But it doesn't feel like im driving a brand new suv...

Which brings me to my question...

Where can I bring my Rav for a tune-up/conditioning para mag-mukha at mag feel na bago siya... and also for its maintenance since it's reaching its 60K life... at feeling ko, hindi pa siya na-me-maintain since nabili siya (im talking about timing belt, etc)...

I tried bringing it sa Rapide pero parang taga sila at kung ano-ano ang pinapalitan... para lang i can't trust them...

And Toyota Casa naman is mahal...

Any help guys will be greatly appreciated...

QC area pala ako...

San ba magandang dalhin Rav ko na reasonable mag-presyo at mapagkakatiwalaan... mas okay ba kung sa CASA ko na siya dalhin? Para sure though i'm sure mas mahal ng si hamak...

Thanks ulit...

  • Dude it would be better for you to bring your car sa casa for your peace of mind din. Kasi these guys were trained talaga.

One more thing dont EVER bring your car to any Rapide branch bro. :bop: They will just milk you dry! hehehe Style nila palalabasin yung sakit ng auto mo kahit wala and palit parts agad bro.

    Try TQA :)

In the Santolan Rd. San Juan area (near Ortigas Ave.), you can try going to Speedyfix.

If you're just into changing all the fluids and the like, a service center like Servitek or a good gas station is okay.
  • Rapide? They even drove my car used my car when I was out of town. KM reading upon entry was 167km pag labas 390km... 230km daw and "road test".

I even complained to them but to no avail.
  • Ang daming bad review ng Rapide...

My friend brought his corolla there para sa brake prob, di naalis ang problema, pabalik-balik na...

To think, ang dami-dami na nilang branch!
    Tsk!
  • Still need a shop where i can bring my Rav for a diagnostic/check up...

    Thanks...

If it's an engine diagnostic (using a Toyota cpu/analyzer) then the CASA is the best bet. But if it's something like a routinary check-up then you can consider having the following done (if it has not been done since purchasing the car, plus 60,000kms is a major service check):
    - change all the fluids (brake, ATF, PS, coolant)
    - adjust valve clearances
    - change all filters (air, fuel)
    - retorque and lubricate all suspension/underchassis bolts
    - check all belts
    - check timing setting
    - check/clean the sensors and throttle body

Going over the owners manual service portion will also tell you what other things need to be done.

We've never had out Toyota brought to the CASA anymore so i don't have any idea on which CASA is good or bad... but i've heard horror stories about Toyota Q. Ave from another board before. You can try out Speedyfix as a lot of car club guys go to them.
  • Thanks Slamm!

    That's a lot of help...

I'll try to visit Speedyfix... last hirit... san ang eksaktong loc nya bro, if you know...

    Thanks again...

If you're on Santolan Rd. coming from EDSA going towards San Juan, just go straight past the Santolan-Ortigas intersection and a few meters after the bridge, you'll see Wheel GAllery to your right and Speedyfix is right across to the left.

You can PM the owner on Tsikot.com beforehand to get info to see if they can help you well on the Rav service. :)
