A really noob question about my car...

how do i know how many liters may engine is... my friend asked me how many liters my car is... where can i find it...
my car is a 93 lancer EL, stock... and how do i know the size of nmy engine?? my friend says that it is 1.3... but i have no idea as to what it is... anyone help please.. thnx... and maybe you can tell me how many liters my car is... thnx

I googled for it and it appears it is 1.3L. Not bad for a city runabout.

check the engine, usually there are stickers there indicatiing the amount of displacement. but to save you from the troubles of doing that, it indeed has 1300cc of displacement.

ako rin tuloy napaisip kung ano displacement nung sakin, i tried searching for "mitsubishi lancer 1997 specs" on google but i couldn't find any. I only found specs for a mirage.

Is it safe to assume that the lancer and the mirage have the same specs?

if its the glxi, 1600 gl 1500 el 1300. anyway, afaik, lancer is known as mirage/virage in other countries. iba ang engine specs nila, some have mivec already.

Out Mirage is 3-door and has a 1400cc engine. Engine was very good, powerful. Problem was its crappy transmission.

lancer el:1300cc ; lancer gli:1500cc ; lancer glxi:1600cc

you could check the owners manual for engine displacement and other specs.

question.. the lower the displacement the lower the engine consumes gasoline right?

and can i compute my liter per kilometer ratio using my displacement as basis?

bro medyo complicated and computations nun eh.pro one easy way is to have a starting point,lets say the half-way mark sa gauge or yung line just before empty, tpos fill your car,then gamitin mo,set mo yung trip meter para makita mo kung nakailan km ka bago bumalik sa dati pwesto yung needle.yung ang milleage mo.

^ 1300cc (or 1.3 liters) is the displacement of the engine, not the gas tank. The 1.3 Vios for example has a tank capacity of 45 liters.

If your gas tank only has 1.3 liters you're in a whole lot of trouble

I'm not sure where you can find the tank capacity of your car though except the manual, and perhaps the casa mechanics
