Question on this car problem..help!

we had our L300 diesel van overhauled last year. since then medyo bumagal ang takbo. the maximum speed is now only 75kph. guys, what do u think is the problem?

That could be a number of factors.

USually, its just a cloggeg fuel strainer (either the canister or the inline strainer just before the fuel line enters the injection pump).

Or it could just be a mal-adjusted throttle cable.

There are many factors to consider. Those were just suggestions.

Your max speed's 75 km/h? This is sort of a general description and the culprit might be a number of factors. How is it accelerating?

Try "feeling" the acceleration in each gear...e.g. See if it stops gaining speed even when you press the gas harder in each gear.

I'd start by looking at the fuel system as Otep mentioned. DO you change your fuel filters regularly?

The clogged strainers seems to be common with the 4D56 engines.

Try putting it in 4th gear!
