Nakita ko kagabi(Feb 15.2005) yung mga officials ng MMPC sa Toyota Otis.Why?Dahil bibili sila ng Innova!

Nandoon sila ng ilang oras(2 hours yata,mga 7-9 p.m).Una kong nakita si Mel Dizon at Froilan Dytianquin na nakasakay sa Grandis(hmm).They've been inspecting the Innova(2.5 E) for an hour(may mga questionaires at product brouchures sila na dala),pero dumating yung president ng MMPC(si Kengo Takase yata yun) na nakasakay sa Adventure Grand Sport at kasama niya yung ibang Japanese officials(naka Space Gear).halos bugbugin nila yung Innova sa inspection.Though nakilala sila ng gen manager ng Toyota Otis at di naman nagalit sa kanila.Hmm it seems na mukhang na shock sila sa Innova ha.

yea, i'd have to admit na the innova's blowing the whole AUV market open.

it's gonna be just like when the FX wagon came out of the market.. nagsosolo ang toyota. nobody in their right mind would even consider getting any other auvs na.

I knew from the get go na Innova seems to be an AUV done right nga.

edit: they're not buying an innova..

they're executves, the hell do they need an AUV for? chances are they drives bimmers and benzes.

That's a pretty normal thing [checking out the new product].

Although sa ibang markets, they would rather purchase the competitor's vehicle and scrutinize it in their own backyard rather than make a crowd at the showroom floor.

Those aren't really Mitsubishi's engineers I think and IMO, they're just there so they could say something about the competition when they go back to their showrooms, or wherever.

It's good for the Toyota dealer to show Mitsubishi people courtesy. The last thing they'd want is bad publicity. And samurais are gentlemen after all

Cost cutting siguro so they just opted to go to the dealer.

I bet they're scratching their heads on how redress their Adventure to beat that. The Grandis actually has a similar seating layout but the price is too steep.

My hunch is that those MMPC "spies" were product planners, either involved with engineering or marketing

Probably more of marketing PPs muna para mag-apply ng quick fixes sa existing Adventure.

possibly they're doing spywork on the innova, It's time for them to redesign the Adventure not just by doing a facelift but a complete redesign of the next adventure, one thing din kasi kung 'di ako nagkakamali, dito kasi sa Pinas din una lumabas ang adventure and I bet dito rin design yun after the Tamaraw Fx, so probably they might be scrutinizing the Innova in their competitor's showroom. Pero OK rin yung Takase ha, sa Adventure nakasakay? hehe, maybe they're planning to Tackle Toyota's Indonesian designed Innova with a Philippine Designed new adventure hehe, tingin ko lang... by the way, nabalitaan ko rin na mag eexpand ng manufacturing facility ang mitsubishi rin dito it's very likely na ma increase ang utility ng mga assembly plants nila as the lancers and adventures are goingto be assembled again in our turf (mga imported na kasi ang Adventure saka Lancer pati ibang vehicles nila aside from the L300, lahat gawa na sa Thailand). and there's also the rumor about the possible replacement of the Adventure, the Taiwan designed Mitsu Zinger below is the link sa thread...

Though I'm also thinking na baka Taiwan exclusive lang yan kasi kung replacement ng Adventure yan baka Mitsubishi Freeca pa rin ang model name niyan since our Adventure is known as Mitsu Freeca there in Taiwan...
