aren't you guys annoyed by puv's especially jeepneys and tricycles noisy exhaust? i was hoping that there's a law that should set limit the of public utility vehicle's exhast to a tolerable level.

im quite sure there's a way to reduce the noise of these jeepneys and tricycles by providing them with proper exhaust design. what do you think?

^ reminds me of this black, heavily tinted Kia Pride that makes such a rambunctious noise almost every evening near our place. And the funny things is it doesn't look quick to me. It doesn't even look good at all. Yah, it has mags (just 14" I think) but that's about it, no other visible upgrades. It's just plain noisy.

what i find weird is that some people think that their noisier exhaust translate to more power. oh well that is not always the case. often times they lose more hp. anyway problem about these noisy ricers can easily be solved by reverting to their stock exhuast.

on jeepneys and tricycles, they should have a resonator(if applicable) and muffler/silencer. (compare the exhaust note of a jeep and a light truck with similar engines, the former will win the DB DRAG)

also, mufflers of some motorcycles/scooters aren't that efficient in silencing the exhaust noise.

I dont mind noisy cars as long as the noise comes more out of the engine than the exhaust. It gives me the case of the giggles when I hear those Corollas, Lancers & Civics pass by with all their stickers and those silly & unsafe aluminum spoilers that serve no purpose but to make their rides look funny.

My advice to them is stop watching Best Motoring all day & earn $$$ to get a real manly machine. We dont need more great pretenders.

one thing i love about living in our village, banned ang tricycle pumasok kaya wala gaanong ingay except mga ingay ng kapitbahay. tricycles and jeeps' noise can be really really irritating.

If the topic is noise pollution, isama nyo na dyan yung mga may aftermarket horns na napakalakas.

C'mon, do you really need to install two Stebel Nautiluses? Imagine the drain on your electricals every time you parp the horn...as well as the ear-splitting blast

i hate those sym bikes with large boisterous muffs. everytime na dumadaan cla sa harap ng bahay namin, parang gusto kong kunin yung SR-16 na airsoft gun ko at ubusin sa mga ulo nila yung laman ng 300 rounds mag ko.. hehehe!

i also hate the riceboys with their huge mufflers... but i especially hate ones that look like sht and sound like sht! pero mas naiinis ako sa sound ng tricycles imo... its fckin annoying and they are damn slow... 30kph top speed is gay.

yeah i really hate tricylcles! there are some tricycle drivers who modify their puny mufflers to make it noiser! wtf! what good will it do? i hope they won't become deaf when they get old or if ever they get old because they might die young due to inhaling too much carbon monoxide from their exhaust.

^ In my dad's home province trike drivers do that cause they say it makes their machines climb better, hilly kasi yung terrain. I dunno how true but they say it works for them.

Well I really can't say, I dunno jack about motorcycles too. The biggest 2 wheeled contraption I've driven is a moped

About that sound, maybe it just gives them more confidence going uphill, hehe.
