get decent looking 17"s, lowering springs, high end head unit, a simple sq setup. oh and at least a knn drop in filter (if its available already) to back up the looks.

H&R makes lowering springs for the City and Jazz. Fusion R carries some stock.

Since the Jazz and gen2 City are mechanically similar, I'll give you a link to HCP's Tropang Jazz EB article. This can give you some ideas.

that's the mentality i cannot understand... i mean.. i look at this riced up car.. and all i still see is whatever car it really is.

you have this car.. ACCEPT na everyone has it rin.

and BIG DEAL- it's just a car.

Why change it? It's got personality all its own. I mean, does any other car looks like it? No! No other car looks like a "Spaceship"!:D Well, if you hate the look of a spaceship, that's another story!:D

a city will always be a city, yes its a fact. modifying it looks changes the cars personality. look what can spoon sports do with an ordinary civic. some might say that its just and still a "civic". but to some, its really something, especially for real auto enthusiasts.

    There's only one simple reason.

It's HIS car and he can do whatever he wants with his ride. If he wants to make his City into any of the following:
    a) a track-day weekend weapon
    b) a full-on circuit race car
    c) a killer bass/sound mobile
    d) anything else
...then we have really no say in his decision.

What we can do is to help him do whatever he wants to do.

Doesn't take much of a rocket scientist to understand this.
  • I guess giving a new look on my ride is not a big deal... I just want to have some changes on the style and look. Although, I have never seen one CITY 03-04 models with a different look. I wanted something ... which is not commonly seen on the streets. Something that the people will admire by the most, not just mere glancing at it...
  • By the way ...I'd like to ask you guys (GURUS) where i can find some parts that you are telling me??? Can i find it at banawe ?? or do I have to order it abroad ??

ive seen a handful of modded citys. the one that i liked is a black one, has no tints, lowered, and slapped with 17" rims. very nice and clean.

Try checking Temple of VTEC (search the site's address na lang) for pictures of the Mugen-kitted City VTEC. It was recently shown off in Malaysia. I liked that one. Very clean.

It was black. It had lowering springs (a 1.5" or 2" drop, I can't really remember), 15" Mugen MF10-L rims, a rather aggressive non-Mugen/OEM rear spoiler (it still looked nice though) and some other cosmetic and engine mods.

If you're not the type who likes lowering the ride height, 17" wheels on a GD-series City look very nice.

Alternatively you can go adopt the JDM (Japan Domestic Market) look. Try scouring shops for "Fit Aria" emblems as that's the City's model name in Japan. Also part of the JDM look are black headlight surrounds, primarily to make the headlight reflector stand out. These black surrounds make a Jazz look very sharp; you might want to try the same effect on your City.

For parts sourcing there's a store named SHIFT opening in Ortigas soon, I heard they will carry GD-series Jazz/City parts. You can also check Banawe.

Good luck and keep us posted :)
  • Thanks for the tips... by the way I have a black Honda City... but as of now I only have the orig look. I'm still trying to find some ideas on how to make my ride something cool... I just recently changed from toyota to honda :). I'm not really familiar with honda. Just for a changed of taste :)
