We started naming our cars starting from the second car I ever owned. That one was Johnny. Followed by:
Bubbles (because there wre bubbles in the paint),
then Noli (came from my father and it was untouchable),
Elmo (red kasi) and Po (blue) (this was about the time our kids were young)
then the present crop is Harry (Ford kasi),
Twinks (kasi Star Silver ang kulay) and
Pearl (after a favored niece).

I have an informal nickname for my dad's Trooper.

I call it "monster truck" because of the wide rubbers on the thing. It's shod with 285/65 R18 tires. Every time I open the gate for my dad I somewhat fear for my toes getting run over.
