Just go to Knight Rider and KITT fan sites. Some sell kits to convert the Pontiac Firebird into a KITT (Knight Industries Two Thousand). They have everything including the steering wheel.

But I don't think they stock items. Pero order lang.

  • i don't think that's practical on a regular car. since you'd be able to hold the "wheel" only at the 9 and 3 o'clock positions, how will you be able to make those tight lock to lock turns?
  • mahirap i steer un ah.. para kang nagbibisikleta.. konti kabig lang liko na dhil di mo maikot.. eheheh

I dunno if this is related to your question, but Sparco does make steering wheels that aren't exactly circular. Usually the bottom of the rim is made into the flat portion because you don't use it that often (given you drive with your hands at 9 and 3 o'clock on the wheel). The top of the rim is still somewhat curved.

  • KITT's steering wheel is an aircraft yoke control from a cessna or one of those small single airplanes. my advice, unless your car an achieve lock to lock steering in 360 degrees or less, you've no business driving one with of these.

    Ahh I see...

Yeah, I agree, that kind of yoke doesn't belong in a car.

Unless you fit one in an Alfa Romeo 156 GTA or 147 GTA, maybe. 1.75 turns lock-to-lock---one of the fastest steering racks you'll ever come across.
