so here's what happened...
sa condo kse kme nakatira...and yesterday...tinawagan kmi ng guard pra tingnan daw un car ni ate...so we went sa parking and aun...there's a big scatch sa me fender ni ate...mejo me bingot pa nga...and un car sa tabi ng slot ni ate me scratch din sa bumper nya...sabi ng guard nun nagcheck sila ng 1 pm...wala pang scratch un car ni ate...mga 2pm dumating un katabi na car ni ate...and last tym they checked wala din scratch sa bumper sa likod un...so aun...pinatawag namin un owner ng car... so tinanong nia ate...sobrang dineny nya na sha un nakagasgas...eh nun friday pa daw un...hello! friday din kahapon..ano un one week na..e wala naman sa records ng guard...and its too obvious na sha un nakagasgas kasi shoot na shoot dun sa gasgas nya in gasgas ni ate...and un color ng oto nya silver....ang gasgas sa kanya...white...color ng car ni ate. aun nagalit sha pinagbibintangan daw sha...eh ang ayos ng pagtanong ni ate...sinigawan pa nya kme..sabi nya sue me if u like! o tumawag kayo ng expert kung gusto niyo1 wala ako alam dyan...
ate and i felt so bad... kse ba bata kmi...and sha matanda na... me ari pa ng gimikan somewhere dito sa malate... badtrip... wala kaming nagawa...winalk outan niya kami...ang bastos sobra...
nakakainit pa ng ulo un last na sinabi nya...if i know...matagal na un gasgas na yan jan... eh ilan araw na kami hindi lumalabas ng bahay...and kung makikita niyo car ni ate...sir na puti...and sobrang kinis....badtrip talga..iyak ng iyak ate ko kahapon...
ano ba pwede gawin?

dapat na picture mo agad yun scratch ng car nya and car nyo. pag wala na evidence mahirap habulin.

when i chose a parking slot in our condo i chose the best slot. wider space side by side and no parked cars in front. there's only one car next to me. malaki space in between. you can even open the door kahit sagad. shy type pa sya magpark as in ang laki ng space na tinitira sa side ko kahit masikip sa side nya.

anyway not all people are nice like your parking neighbor. what you can do is gather evidence based on the scratches and the security guard's records. you can file a complaint first in your condo management. if possible try to ask your condo to transfer you to another parking slot.

this person is irresponsible and can be dangerous. the emotional effect caused by your parking neighbor can be more costly than the price of replacing the whole bumper. it's hard to go to your parking slot everyday always remembering the bad experience you encountered. not to mention the temptation of unleashing your fury to his car.

Anyways, madali lang naman gumanti. I'd go for the "quick tansan" or I'd bring an icepick and poke 13 holes on his tyres.

On the other hand, he could actually be innocent.

Take a picture of said damages both to his and your vehicle.

If you have not cleaned the conact areas, try to obtain a sample. Have said sample analyzed (by chromatography).

Also have suspect's vehicle analyzed by same method.

If the chromatography results are the same, then his paint is on your vehicle.

Chromatography is available in most universities and research centers.

Intertek in Pasong Tamo also offers this service as far as I can recall. That is where I had most of my laboratory testing done for my thesis.

Ano ito CSI? Well not in the Pilipens. Wala kasing ebidinsya na siya ga ang nakadale dya, eh, pag mag fuile ka sa court ng Recless imprudence resulting to damage to property, sakit ng ulo lkang yan, aattend ka pa ng hearing tapos mapopostpone lang, tapos reset for the next 4 months ang hearing, aheheheh!!

It's not worth all the trouble. Just have it shouldered by your insurance and claim that you were "hit and run". File ka muna ng police report. Pag compre, walang problem yan, bayaran mo lang nga participation fee.

Yung mga nagsuggest na "gumanti" na lang, naku, you're inviting trouble nyan, kasi nagkaron na ng confrontation eh, sana kung dati pa, nung di pa nagkakausap! hehehe...... pinaka-maganda nyan eh palipat ka na lang ng parking slot.... tapos pag nakalipat ka na, give it around at least a month, tapos tsaka ka gumanti! Pakuan mo yung mga gulong, pero wag mo tanggalin yung pako ha, habang andun yung pako, di kagad mafa-flat yun, unti-unti lang, so di halata na dun sya sa condo nyo na flat!, Hahaha

na... i'd stick with the puncturing of tyres.

1.) tyres are not covered by the insurance
2.) tyres are expensive... pag malake butas, he has to get a new set. and that costs anyway from 1000 php a piece to 10k... depending on the car he has.

Mahirap kasi pag binutas, madali makahanap ng suspect dahil nga nagkaron na ng confrontatin, so it's easy to assume na yung naka-sagutan eh yun yung bumutas ng gulong di ba?... eh di mangyayari nyan baiwan na lang ng bawian, tapos pareho kayong gatstos ng gastos, wala rin di ba? pareho lang kayong talo!*okay*

Sorry if that sounds to scientific. Science talaga ang background ko before I entered the medical field. Chromatography is not really that exotic to me.

Pero sa mga nagsuggest na gumanti, it will never be worth it.

As for me, revenge is the least thing to do since you wont get anything much out of it... It's like your stooping even lower then he is.

Filing a case seems to big a hassle for such a small issue but i'd go and document everything and file a report with the condo assoc. I'd also consult a lawyer just to see how far i can go without much hassle (blotter?) and keep it in store for a rainy day (what goes around, comes around IMO).
