Hi folks, I'm trying to get some auto brands to support our Pit Stop forum. I would like to humbly ask the folks over here at our little forum to post the following:

1) Do you own/drive a car? If so, what model / year? Also, were you the one who made the purchase decision?

2) Are you planning to buy a car in the near future? Which model are you looking act?

3) Do you take your car to the "casa" for maintenance? Which "casa" do you go to for maintenance?

4) Have you ever used the Pit Stop forum to help make a buying decision or post a complaint or compliment about your current or future car?

To answer my own questions:

1) 2004 Honda City VTEC M/T. I made the purchase decision and paid for the unit.

2) Nope, just bought one.

3) Honda Cars Pasig

4) Yes, I have used the Pit Stop forum, particularly the threads about the Honda City as compared with the Toyota Vios.

5) Not yet because my budget is wiped out after buying the City. However, the threads on fuel efficiency are very very informative.

Personal Car - '93 Honda Civic ESi - Hand-me-down car
Family Car - '01 Honda Civic VTi - I decided in purchasing this car

Just placed an order for the new Mazda 3 2.0L R.

The Ford Lynx RS 2.0L was a very close 2nd choice... just decided to go with the newer model I guess... would've loved the MT though.

I never go to "casa" for repairs... all my cars up until now are Honda's and I don't have many good things to say about Honda's service and maintenance department. Makati branch in particular... can't say I've been to other Honda branches for maintenance purposes.

Yup... learned a good deal about the Mazda 3 here... on top of my own research. And I've learned a good deal about the cars I currently own from a lot of other PExers.

I've gotten a lot of tips and advice from other PExers on my car maintenance but I rely on my mechanic and friends more for car diagnosis.

1) Yes, a 1999 Honda City 1.5 EXi. Pretty much a family runabout (i.e. I don't own it yet). My parents decided on it.

2) We're planning to get a small sedan. No particular models yet but most likely something from the repossession yard.

3) I used to go to Honda Makati, but lately I've stopped going there unless it's for major service checks and repairs. Honda's casa service is expensive and not really worth it IMO.

Yep. 2001 Isuzu Highlander XTRM(Used. Got it last 2002 in a used car dealer). Yes with my S.O..

4-5 years from now. A 4x4 pickup.

Nope. Never trusted them. A lot! Mostly in a gasoline station a a lube job, Wheelers for the suspension and Motorcraft for the other mechanical problems. So far I haven't expierenced any mechanical problem with my ride.

No. Majority of the threads here are focused on cars/sedans/high-end vehicles. Most of them find AUVs cheap. :(

- I only had to read past threads and I already have a pretty good idea what I must look for. Not to mention the links they supply for me to rummage through. That's sort of a yes.

2) Are you planning to buy a car in the near future? Which model are you looking act? After I get my car paid off, yes. I'm thinking of getting a Mazda RX8.

3) Do you take your car to the "casa" for maintenance? Which "casa" do you go to for maintenance? I live in the US. If I need or repair I cant do or diagnose (mostly electronic), I take it to the Ford dealership. My base warranty is already expired, but I have a base ext. warranty.

4) Have you ever used the Pit Stop forum to help make a buying decision or post a complaint or compliment about your current or future car? I didnt know anything about PEX until just several moths ago. On regular driving conditions, I've never made a complaint.

If I'll ever buy a car, and I needed some opinions, yeah, I'll post it here... just to see what people would say. But what people say have very little impact on the final decision I'll make. I do my own research.

i drive the family car- a 2000 revo. 1.8l gas, a/t
minsan 2003 trooper (god i hate that car)
and 2003 mx lancer (not bad!)

thinking of waiting for the civic redesign. or just get a jazz and get it over with. only thing that wows me so far is the subcompact jazz e.

depends on problem.. oil change- i bring the car to thunder service.. pag ibang sira, sa dealership , tapos parts i buy sa banaue and bring it to the dealership. (I oh so hate the word casa, just like altis- it's corolla, damned it)

I have three cars because I find it difficult to part with all the cars I've ever had. 'Yung nga lang, they're damned fooking expensive to maintain.

1. '83 Lancer GSR. Hand-me-down so, no, I had no part in the decision-making process.
2. '92 Galant GTi. First car I bought on my own. Second-hand nga lang.
3. '00 Civic SiR. First car I bought brand-new.

Yes, but I still don't know what yet. It depends on what's out there when I'm finanically solvent to buy one again.

If it's still under warranty with the dealership, then I take it to them. If not, then I take them to my friend who owns a shop.

The questions are basically the same so I'll answer them in one go.

Yes, it's quite helpful for getting info. I just weigh everyone's rants and raves about a particular model and toss those in with my own observations. In the end, I still follow what I believe in and in what my mechanic recommends (I always take him with me when I buy a car).

always have brought my car to the casa. Mitsubishi Karasia Bajada in Davao city. but right now, im planning to switch elsewhere to reduce car maintenance costs.
