d'you know any store/shop that sells authentic ralliart accessories?
im planning to get a mp3 in-dash player. d'you have any idea how much they cost nowadays? also the speakers, amp, etc.?
thanks!0 -
Keep the muffler/exhaust stock...
If you're going to dress her up nice, try changing the rims to 16" Ralliart rims, add a MOMO steering and shift knob. Try going around Banawe, among some shops, you can check out Autospecs as they carry Pajero Euro and JDM stuff from time to time.0 -
Ralliart rims you can find along Evangelista I believe. You might be able to dig up some JDM stuff.
Tip: if you're going for a Euro setup, try looking for "Shogun" emblems as that's the Pajero's UK trade name.
For cheap but good subs Targa is reportedly good. Shouldn't cost you more than PhP2,500-3,000.0 -
Personally, I wouldn't touch the engine of a Pajero... power gained for speed purposes can't be fully appreciated since it isn't in the nature of the car's design to be a quick turner. As for pulling it through cross-country or off-roading, the stock engine should do the job just fine, except of course if you want it to come close to Pajero Evolution specs, which isn't really that realistic. I'd sooner change suspension to the off-roading job but that ain't gonna come cheap.
For what purpose are you looking for extra boost?0 -
Mokkori,
i just want to add some extra power. the engine's fine but sometimes 80-120 km/h is just not enough on the freeway especially when you're on the rush. about suspension, i think i'll stick to stock coz im not really into off-roading.
anyway, d'you have any idea how much is the turbo timer?0 -
There's a way of adding some boost to the 4D56 by adding some washers. You can dig the procedure and info up on the tsikot.com site. Several guys have already done this with good results (and no blown) engines. This adds around 1-2psi from the stock boost so it's still withing the tolerances of the factory which is quite loose from what i heard. I also had some hesitancy on this before when i first read it but the experiments they did turned out ok...
Of course, you have to maintain the engine well to keep the power there as the 4d56 is also quite sensitive to a dirty fuel system... change the fuel filters every 20K, clean/check the lines and strainers, etc...0 -

I'd rather keep it stock. Dami kong nakikitang ex-JDM Pajeros na mukhang pampasada sa dami ng borloloy.
Anyways, I do change stuff on my rig but only for the purpose of improving safety, comfort, and/or off-road performance.
Original Pajero accessories are availble from SP International in Banawe. Pajerokid of Tsikot.com has the contact details to that shop. They sell stuff like European grilles, rear bumper lamps, black out taillamps (works in conjuction with bumper lamps), etc.
There also photos in the Tsikot.com galleries about a shop named Garage Custom which does Euro/JDM customization for Pajeros. Although parang OA yung ibang showcars nila.
Sample:
On my rig:
*33x12.5R15 Dunlop Grantrek M/T's on the stock 15x7 wheels
*Color-keyed fender mirror on the passenger side fender only
*OEM brush guard (from China)
*KYB Nitrogen shock absorbers
*2" suspension lift (t-bar crank up front, coil spacers out back)
*Removed side steps and rear step
*Stebel Magnum horn
*Washer mod on engine to increase boost pressure
*Pioneer HU with 12 disc CD stack in the back
*Targa 10" sub in a custom-made MDF box
*Targa TX series seps
*Alpine V12 (Taiwan) amplifier
*First aid kit
*Fire extinguisher
*Strobe lights built into the reverse lamps
*Passive reflectors on the doors jambs (so that motorists coming from behind can see if you have the door open)
*A big tow rope in back0 -
Maganda yung Euro-look Pajeros sa 2nd pic ah. Nice and clean.0

Si Oteps and the PAjero guys yung nag-washer mod.
AFAIK, they add around 2-3 washers and have given good feedback in bot the 4d56 and 4m40 engines. Intially i was concerned about the consequences of adding-up the boost but the 4D56 engines i heard had such loose tolerances so adding a 2psi of boost wouldnt affect the reliability of your engine as long as its in good condition and you allow your turbo to cool/spool down after driving before shutting off.0 -
just did the "washer mod" dug up the procedure on tsikot.com. i only put 3 washers, noticed there's a significant increase in speed.. i'm tempted to put the 4th washer but i don't want to take the risk..
slamm, do you have any idea where to buy evo grills, aluminum skid plate (front), clear tail lights & handle protector?0 -
EVO-look grilles are available from ATOY bodykits for around Php14,000.00. You can try your luck with other fiberglass shops as they sell it for about half that price.
Aluminum skidplate is now available from Carryboy Banawe. Though I don't think it is as tough as the OEM aluminum skidplate from ex-JDM models. Even the stock skidder seems stronger and more 'skiddable'. If you are just going to use it for 'porma' then it might be worth a look.
Clear taillamps are available from Concorde in SM City as well as most Banawe shops that sell clear taillamps. Gives the Pajero a 'pampasada' look, however. A better bet would be the clear/black/red taillamps used on Australian models (in conjunction with bumper lamps).
No idea where to get handle protectors. The black finish would not match up to my chrome handles anyways. And the plastic used for the protectors are easily scratched, too.0 -
thanks otep!
how much did your tires cost? i mean the 33 X 12.5 X 15? how many inches did you lift? aren't the ride affected? i mean suspension, speed, power? the bigger the tire the more burden for the engine right? coz it'll be slower due to turning radius.. correct me if i'm wrong though..0 -
Canibus...
It might be slower and more taxing to the engine due to "rolling resistance," not turning radiusHigher rolling resistance will make your car thistier.
Turning radius concerns the steering...the smaller a turning circle you can make at full steering lock to one side, the more maneuverable your car is in tight situations0
